Open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, to Albertville residents. The area is exclusively used for organic materials that degrade quickly. This includes grass clippings, leaves, mulch, flowers, weeds, sod, and garden waste. Bags must be removed when dumping these items. Small trees less than 3" in diameter, branches, brush, bushes, and other natural wood products are accepted and need to be placed in a separate wood and brush pile at the site.

  • Responsible for maintaining approximately 1,800 miles of roadway, including contracted township roads and 140 bridges.
  • Directly or indirectly involved with the maintenance of roadways under the jurisdiction of 15 cities, 42 organized townships and the 37 unorganized townships in the county.
  • Responsible for the administration of both the highway maintenance division and the highway construction division.
  • Responsible for graveling, grading, drainage, signing, snow removal, ice control, equipment repair and minor road improvements.
