Donations must be collected and weighed by Catholic Charities staff to ensure food safety standards and inventory tracking. - Receipts are available. - Accepts the following new or gently used items for donations for Basic Everyday Essentials: - Accessories: scarves, hats, mittens, backpacks, small luggage - Baby items: clothing, blankets, crib sheets, bottles, bibs, baby food, and formula - Kitchen items: pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware - Men, women, and children's clothing; greatest need for adults who are tall and larger sizes - Shoes - Small kitchen appliances: toasters, blenders, mixers, coffee makers - Towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets, bed pillows - Accepts the following items for donations for the Food Shelf: - Feminine hygiene products - Fresh produce (including home-grown) - Laundry detergent - Non-perishable food items - Personal care items: deodorant, shaving lotion and razors, shampoo/conditioner, soap, and toothpaste Volunteer positions: - Emergency Services Food Shelf - Emergency Services Basic Everyday Essentials - Individual, group, and student opportunities and court-ordered community service - Senior dining/Meals on Wheels: deliver meals, prepare food, set up dining sites for meals, serve meals, clean up after meals and clerical tasks - Student interns

Reason to Smile: Low-cost dental services available to Dakota County residents Food shelf and clothing closet usage is limited to once a month. Clients shop from current inventory. Food distribution usage is limited to twice a month. Clients receive pre-selected food, usually, produce, but it may also include other items if available. In partnership with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Seasonal programs include Toy Shop; Family, Teen, and Kids Camps; Back to School Project; and Coats for Kids.

Sales from the thrift stores support and allow Love In the Name of Christ Heartland to provide services, programs, and resources to those in need. Donations are accepted based on store needs. - School supply distribution at the beginning of school. - Back to school shopping. Call nearest location for details. - Family camp for single mothers and children ages birth to 12. - Coats for Kids: Free winter coats for children age 0 - 17. Throughout the winter months, families can go to a Salvation Army service center for a coat. Parents will receive one coat and one accessory per child. A photo ID & current piece of mail for the parent, and a form of ID for each child (medical card, Social Security card, birth certificate, school ID, etc.). - Thanksgiving Baskets at limited locations - Christmas program provides gifts for children 14 and under as well as food assistance.
