Clothing Program - Valley Outreach

Client may select like-new clothing at no cost using vouchers. Clients may also choose to shop for clothing using a "choose their own discount" model. Discounts options are 25%, 50%, or a 75% discount when clients check out. Family Resource Rooms - Brooklyn Center Public Schools District 286

Provides students, families, and community members with access to information and support from community agencies addressing basic needs such as food, clothing, energy assistance, shelter, and healthcare. The resource rooms maintain limited supplies of clothing, personal household items, and food for immediate access. They accept donations of winter gear (coats, gloves, mittens, hats, scarves), sweatpants, socks, t-shirts, and gift cards (Visa, Target, Walmart, gas, Cub Foods, etc.).

Clothing Closet - NORTH Anoka County Emergency Food Shelf and Clothing Closet (NACE)

Provides and accepts donations of seasonal clothing including general clothing and winter coats, boots, hats, gloves and snow pants, new and gently used. Individuals are welcome to receive clothing once a month.

Thrift Store - Wright County Community Action

Offers a thrift shop with a wide selection of gently used merchandise including shoes and clothing for children and adults, household items, toys, and other items. All items can be purchased at $10 a bag. Accepts donations of new and used items in good condition. Donations accepted are gently used clothing of all ages and seasons, bedding, shoes and boots, books, coats, snow pants, winter wear, dishes, pots, pans, glassware, cooking utensils, home decor, CD's/DVD's, toys, crafts, picture frames, purses, backpacks, and board games. There is a drop box within the building for the drop off of donations during business hours. Large donations are also accepted.

Thrift Store - ACBC Food Shelf and Thrift Store

Provides women, men, and children clothing, socks, undergarments, shoes, household items, linens, winter gear, and other items during the client's food shop. Clothing closet can be accessed once a month per client. Also accepts donations of these items. Individuals with a shopping appointment have the option to receive a voucher for shopping in the Thrift Store.

Provides a thrift store at three locations and offers daily specials. Victims may be eligible for a voucher at the thrift store to obtain clothing, household goods, and furniture items. Accepts donated items such as bedding/linens, books, movies, music/CDs, clothing, furniture, home decor, household appliances, jewelry, kitchen appliances, seasonal items, sporting goods, toys, and games. Items not accepted are baby furniture, televisions, computers, office printers, large appliances, mattresses, sleeper sofas, textbooks, exercise equipment, and items that are broken or non-working.

Street Outreach - Duluth Street Outreach Team

Outreach workers are on call to meet with and talk to people who are homeless and staying outside or in places not fit for human habitation. Outreach workers provide supplies such as winter clothing and camping gear (when possible) to meet people's basic needs, and try to connect people to appropriate services to improve their quality of life. Accepts donations of winter clothing and camping gear. Outreach workers can provide information on how to schedule a housing assessment for Coordinated Entry transitional or permanent supportive housing.
