Volunteer and Donation Needs - Relationship Safety Alliance

Individuals, community groups, and businesses can support victims of domestic violence by donating materials or volunteering. Available volunteer positions range from court advocacy to roles in maintenance, mentorship, office assistance, public speaking, reception and transportation support. All items should be new or gently used. If a phone can't be converted, it is recycled. To donate, simply drop off or mail cell phones to the Mid-Minnesota Women's Center

Offers several thrift store locations. The thrift stores: - Accepts donations of clean usable clothing, household items, furniture, and some appliances that are clean, usable, and in good condition. Tax Receipts are available for donations in good, usable condition. - Sell used clothing, books, and small household items at a reduced price

Reprograms used cell phones and gives them to victims of domestic violence in the Duluth community. Accepts donations of items listed below; donations should be dropped off at 414 West First Street, Duluth, MN 55802. Thrift Store - ACBC Food Shelf and Thrift Store

Provides women, men, and children clothing, socks, undergarments, shoes, household items, linens, winter gear, and other items during the client's food shop. Clothing closet can be accessed once a month per client. Also accepts donations of these items. Individuals with a shopping appointment have the option to receive a voucher for shopping in the Thrift Store.

Habitat ReStore - Habitat For Humanity Serving Winona County

The Habitat ReStore sells gently used and new building materials, tools, and furniture at a discount to the community. Inventory is donated by community businesses and individuals. Proceeds support local Habitat for Humanity repair and construction projects. Items accepted include cabinets, furniture, doors, hardware, kitchen and bath fixtures, light fixtures, lumber, flooring, and more. Donation pick-up is available by appointment and donations can be brought to the drive-thru during business hours. Volunteer opportunities are available.

Thrift Store - Rushford - Grace Place

Grace Place provides a thrift store offering baby clothing, limited supplies of maternity clothing, children and adult clothing, baby equipment, furniture, household goods, and crafts supplies. The store is run by volunteers and proceeds fund Grace Place programs. The store accepts gently used clothing, household items and furniture (please note that furniture is accepted by appointment only). Families in the Outreach Program are able to select 6 items per month from the store at no charge and also have access to personal hygiene and household cleaning supplies at no charge.

Food Shelf - Community Action Center - CAC

- A food shelf open to participants to walk-through and shop for food once per week. The food shelf offers fresh produce, dairy products, eggs, meat, grains, shelf stable protein, cooking and baking ingredients, baby food, and more. - Donations accepted such as fresh and frozen food items, diapers, and money - Families with young children can access diapers ranging from size newborn - 6 years and diaper wipes every week - Home delivery may be available to community members with limited mobility or special circumstances - Items provided may also include feminine hygiene products, household products, toiletries, detergent, and soap. Items are dependent upon donations. - Staff can assist with applications for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and refer to other resources

Family Store - Donation Center - Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center - ARC

Thrift stores located throughout the metro area. Accepts donations of new and used items that are clean and in good condition. NOTE: Thrift stores do not have cribs, strollers, car seats, entertainment centers, desks or anything with a mattress (including futons, sleeper sofas, etc.) available or accept donations of same. Will pick up furniture for cost if the caller lives in the pick-up area which is 30-40 miles around the metro area and includes about 100 cities. Furniture must not be damaged. To be eligible for furniture pick-up, donations must also include a minimum of three bags of new or used clothing and household items.
