Thrift Store and Donation Center - Arc Minnesota, The

Thrift store offering new and used clothing and household goods. Village Rewards program whereby shoppers earn points for each dollar spent, for donating, and for special volunteer events. When 2500 points have been earned, a $10 Village Reward is awarded to be spent in the store. Store offers a personal shopper service free of charge. Second Chance Recycling: Specializes in recycling mattresses and batteries and sole manufacturer and distributor of Salvatore Ovens. Employs those facing barriers to employment as trainees for 6 - 12 months as a way to help participants build healthy work habits and a work history. Accepts mattresses and box springs for a fee and can pick up curbside for a fee. Quantities of 25 or more, call to make arrangements. Mattresses with bed bugs are not accepted. Batteries from the general public are not accepted. Custom Manufacturing: Contracts with area businesses to provide trainee jobs in high demand fields of manufacturing, welding, and machining. Furnish Office and Home: Nonprofit store primarily selling used and new office and home furnishings for up to 80% off list prices. Items vary based on donations. Paid job training program allowing trainees experience working on sales and warehouse skills, conflict resolution, maintaining a positive attitude and gaining solid work history based on dependability and personal responsibility. Accepts donations of office furniture, equipment and supplies; a pick up fee may be charged. Accepts donations of household furniture in good, resalable condition and less than 10 years old including tables, chairs, sofas, dressers, night stands, lamps, bookcases, artwork, appliances, electronics and tools.

Individuals, community groups, and businesses can support victims of domestic violence by donating materials or volunteering. Available volunteer positions range from court advocacy to roles in maintenance, mentorship, office assistance, public speaking, reception and transportation support. All items should be new or gently used. Provides furniture and may deliver items to those in need in Northern Saint Louis County. An individual or family member must be referred by another service provider. Those requesting the furniture program will only be able to access the program once a year. Family Store - Donation Center - Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center - ARC

Thrift stores located throughout the metro area. Accepts donations of new and used items that are clean and in good condition. NOTE: Thrift stores do not have cribs, strollers, car seats, entertainment centers, desks or anything with a mattress (including futons, sleeper sofas, etc.) available or accept donations of same. Will pick up furniture for cost if the caller lives in the pick-up area which is 30-40 miles around the metro area and includes about 100 cities. Furniture must not be damaged. To be eligible for furniture pick-up, donations must also include a minimum of three bags of new or used clothing and household items.
