Provides curbside pick-up of used clothing and household items. Items should be bagged in plastic garbage bags (preferred method to keep from getting wet) or boxes no larger than a grocery tote, and placed on the curb on the day of the pick-up. All items must be clean and rack-ready. Call to arrange a pick-up. Thrift stores located throughout the metro area. Accepts donations of new and used items that are clean and in good condition. NOTE: Thrift stores do not have cribs, strollers, car seats, entertainment centers, desks or anything with a mattress (including futons, sleeper sofas, etc.) available or accept donations of same. Will pick up furniture for cost if the caller lives in the pick-up area which is 30-40 miles around the metro area and includes about 100 cities. Furniture must not be damaged. To be eligible for furniture pick-up, donations must also include a minimum of three bags of new or used clothing and household items.

Halfway home which provides a sober environment including: - Meals: One home cooked meal provided daily. 2 other meals available daily at all hours for those unable to attend the scheduled daily meal. - Nursing and Medications:Registered Nurse staff provide coverage for basic needs and medication administration - Self-Help Groups: Participation in Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and other self-help groups is encouraged but not mandatory on site - Transportation: Provided by staff for residents in need of travel to mental illness/chemical dependency treatment, medical appointments, and emergencies. Also provides bus vouchers for residents in need on a daily first come first served basis.
