- Lawshe Memorial Museum houses a research center library of county and regional histories, books, documents, maps, genealogical collections, online databases, oral history tapes, and related items. County newspapers going back to 1857 are microfilmed and readers are available to examine them. On file are hundreds of photographs, articles, and clippings. Hennepin County Library provides customer-centered services, collections, electronic access and resources, events, and classes. Services include: - Books, periodicals, audiobooks, eBooks, DVDs, and more - Reference service - Help finding a good book - Children and family services: Story hours, summer reading programs, homework help tutoring online and at several buildings - Assistive technology for people with hearing, sight and dexterity needs: adaptive equipment, closed captioned digital DVDs, large print books, and audiobooks.
