Hospice care is delivered through a team of professionals under St. Mary's Hospital Hospice. The mission of Itasca Hospice is to support and assure access for patients and families to quality Hospice services as provided by Itasca Hospice, and to educate the community on issues of dying, death and grief. Hospice offers a variety of support groups dealing with illness, death and grief.

Assistive technology: Offers education about and access to assistive technology devices and resources Chromebook and iPad Loan Program: Provides individuals in need with the opportunity to borrow a device for up to 60 days. Those without internet access may also borrow a mobile internet device Classes, Workshops, and Events: Covers topics such as cooking, art and creative expression, and community outings Community Transition Support: Helps individuals living in nursing homes or other group settings transition back to their own homes or community. Advocacy topics include Individualized Education Plans (IEP), Social Security (SSI/SSDI) applications, and appeals for denied services Peer Support: Offers both one-on-one, goal-based peer support and peer support groups Support Planning: Assists individuals in navigating their options under a Consumer Directed Community Supports (CDCS) plan Youth and Young Adult Transition Services: Prepares youth and young adults for the transition to adulthood through guidance, planning, and skill development.

Fitness and Wellness Classes: Provides a wide variety of on-going health and wellness classes and workshops to promote independent living, boost health and wellness, and provide opportunities for meaningful social connection. Offers a college access program targeting low-income, first generation college adults ages 19 and over. Will assist youth 12 - 18 by request. Courses offered include English for Industry, Nursing Assistant, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, and Nursing Assistant Refresher. - Re-Entry Services: Provides adults recently paroled or released an opportunity to gain proper credentials in trainings such as Class A Commercial Driver's License. In addition to job training and career planning, participants will have access to transportation assistance and financial coaching. - Welding and CNC Machining: Offers participants that have completed Manufacturing Foundations, the opportunity to pursue advanced manufacturing programs at Hennepin Technical College that includes 7 - 10 month certificates in Gas Metal Arc Welding or CNC Machining. Program also prepares participants an opportunity to continue their education and earn an associate's degree in a skilled trade.
