People Camp is a week-long transformative experience of cooperation, community living, peacemaking, and the exploration of ideas and issues. This is a summer camp experience for the whole family and for anyone interested in a supportive community, challenging workshops, and lots of recreation in a camp setting. Summer camp program is held in August for one week. The camp program includes: - Camp traditions and building community such as morning meditation down by the lake, talent show, tie dying shirts, s'mores, games, and other activities - Engaging activities for children and youth - Housing at Northern Pines with rooms that sleep 3 - 10 people. Tenting is allowed at the camp. - Interest groups at camp such as book clubs, singing groups, and more - Meals for breakfast, lunch, and supper served at the dining hall with outdoor seating
Provides community peacekeeping services, including outreach, engagement with community members, de-escalation, conflict resolution, community building and engagement, grief and trauma care, mediation, and connections to community resources.
