This includes facilitating program collaboration by sharing information, resources, published materials, research, and trends among the four diseases.

• Public Health Collaboration: Connects public health partners through collaborative communication and innovative technology solutions, fostering partnerships to enhance disease prevention efforts.

• Resource and Service Database: Maintains a comprehensive database of approximately 10,000 organizations providing services related to HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STDs, and TB, including counseling, testing, prevention, education, and support.

• Services for Public Health Professionals include educational materials, prevention resources, and training opportunities.

A clinic that offers:

• Annual physical examinations

• Birth control and emergency contraception

• Breast exams

• Family planning education

• HPV vaccinations

• Pap smears

• Public education to schools, community groups, and organizations on reproductive health, age-appropriate sexual health, contraceptives, family planning, teen pregnancy and prevention, sexually transmitted infections, puberty, and healthy relationships

• Radon testing

Provides on-call services for victims of sexual assault or abuse who are ages 13 and older. Children ages 12 and younger are referred to a clinic specialized to meet their needs. Service includes:

• Care of physical injuries

• Sexually transmitted disease prevention and education

• Evidence collection

• Crisis intervention and supportive counseling

Provides information about infectious diseases, assists with epidemic disease control, and assists with reporting and controlling communicable diseases including:

• Communicable Disease Investigation - Investigates outbreaks of communicable diseases in Rice County in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Health

• International Travelers' Health Immunization Information

• Naloxone overdose prevention kits (visit website for additional information)

• Contracts with school districts to provide pre-school screenings, hearing and vision screenings, scoliosis screenings, school health services, and health education

• CPR Training and Certification are available for a fee

• Environmental Public Health Assessments: Partners with regional teams to identify and address environmental health hazards in homes and communities (e.g., healthy homes approaches).

• Investigation and follow-up regarding reports of public health nuisance in which the health of the public is at risk or in danger
