SMART Recovery Support Group and Services - SMART Recovery USA, Inc.
Provides a 4-point program serving those with addictive behaviors, which includes substance use, activity, and process addictions. Programs include:
- Annual conferences for volunteers, professionals, and participants committed to self-empowerment recovery
- SMART Recovery Group Meetings: Free and guided by trained facilitators, meetings are usually 90 minutes long, and meeting formats include discussing or working on the SMART recovery tool. Meetings are held virtually or in person. An online search tool is available to find a local meeting.
- SMART Recovery handbooks, toolkits, blogs, podcasts, and videos for people seeking support for themselves or those seeking support for a family member or friend
- Trained volunteers facilitate and lead mutual support group discussions on topics. Topics include building and maintaining motivation, coping with urges/cravings, managing thoughts, feelings/behaviors, and living a balanced life.
