Provides support group for persons and families with breast cancer

A free service which teaches cancer patients hands-on cosmetic techniques to help them cope with appearance - related to side effects from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, provided by certified/trained cosmotologists. Group classes and one-on-one services are available. Registration necessary.

Provides emergency financial assistance to adults in active cancer treatment for basic, non-medical needs. Assistance is provided once per lifetime for needs such as: - Cub Foods gift cards - Gasoline purchases using Holiday fuel cards - Rent or mortgage payment - Home or cell phone bill - Gas, electric, or water bill - Garbage bill

Provides support for those with vision problems

- Memory care unit provides care for residents with alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia - Secure unit for residents that wander - Specially trained staff - Ongoing program of meaningful and stimulating recreational activities - Private outdoor walking garden

Answers questions about the marrow or cord blood transplant process and connects patients to resources. NOTE: Some financial grants available to patients receiving an NMDP facilitated transplant. Must meet eligibility criteria.

Helps patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for cancer. Pays essential living expenses (car repair, electricity, heat, medical, mortgage, phone, rent, and water) so patients can focus on getting well. Maximum payment for patients receiving treatment is $1,500/year. Prefers to pay larger bills instead of multiple smaller bills. If a bill exceeds $1,500, the organization will pay $1,500 towards the bill. Financial assistance is provided directly to the creditor, not the individual requesting it.

Community and adult basic education and senior citizen programs including ABE, ESL, and GED classes. Adult courses include: - Defensive driver training for ages 55+ - Breastfeeding and childbirth classes - Weight loss surgery support group - First aid/CPR classes for adults and infants
