Services for individuals who have experienced domestic abuse/violence:

• Emergency residential women's shelter with no-cost services for women and their children
• 24-Hour crisis, Information and Referral line
• Community education: Public speaking and professional training
• Legal advocacy: Assist with safety planning, support, filing orders for protection and harassment restraining orders, including accompaniment and support during court hearings
• Support groups

Program services are for children and young adults, ages birth - 24, or those of a family member or friend, who have experienced neglect, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse; or have witnessed domestic violence. Services provided:

• 24-hour hotline
• Age-appropriate support groups during the school year and outings/activities during the summer
• Assistance with child-related appointments (school enrollment, medical, dental, etc.) or issues
• Crisis intervention
• One-on-one positive parenting training
• Resources and referrals
• Safety planning

Provides the following services:

• Assistance in gathering and documenting evidence in criminal and civil cases

• Assistance with housing, education, employment, and connecting to public benefits and community resources

• Assistance with Orders for Protection/Harassment Orders

• Communication network linking survivors with probation officers, prosecuting attorneys, and law enforcement

• Criminal justice advocacy for victims

• GED assistance for domestic abuse victims

• If experiencing legal problems related to domestic violence, please call for screening and appointments

• Information and referral

• Support for victims including accompaniment to medical and legal procedures

• Visits to victims after perpetrator has been arrested

• Youth support groups and mentoring for children who have been exposed to domestic violence

Safety Planning Services for individuals in various scenarios:

• In a relationship

• Parenting time exchanges

• Post-arrest and release from jail

• Post-separation or throughout continued contact with an abuser

• Throughout the restraining order process

• Coordinates statewide planning process for member programs and system practitioners

• Facilitates discussion to identify and address program needs and evaluate services to domestic violence victims and their families

• Preventive education to initiate change in government agencies and community organizations

• Promotes public policy through legislation, administrative agencies, and appellate courts to address domestic violence issues and promote systematic change; legislative monitoring on issues of interest to battered women and children

• Promotes statewide awareness through social media, traditional media, and awareness campaigns, including Clothesline Project, Femicide Reports, Live Free Without Violence, and Real Love Is

• Provides training and technical assistance to existing and emerging organizations serving battered women and their children; provides training and technical assistance to service providers and community organizations around domestic violence issues

Offers several trainings and webinars year-round on the Duluth Model, the most widely replicated intervention program used worldwide to respond to and prevent crimes of domestic violence. Trainings are offered live-stream via Zoom, and in-person by contract; see website for schedule and individual course information. Trainings are designed for professionals involved in domestic violence intervention and interested community members.?
