- Plans and develops with local partners a variety home-and community based services for older adults so that they can stay in their own homes and communities - Provides demographic and service need analysis that informs policy makers, the public, and media - Leverages resources and grant or contract funds to local providers - Consults on a wide range of topics from demographic changes and needs of older adults to programs and services for a variety of organizations, individuals and businesses - Administers Federal Older Americans Act funding - Awards grants to community services for older adults and caregivers

Provides information and assistance, connecting older adults and their family members to community resources (i.e. housing, transportation, chore services or tax assistance). Staff and volunteers answer questions, research new resources and follow up to ensure that referrals meet the caller's need.
