Parent Stress Line - Parents Helping Parents

A warm line offering a safe space for parents and caregivers to talk about the challenges of raising children. Services are provided with kindness, understanding, and non-judgmental support when needed to help prevent a situation from escalating into a crisis. Parent Line Specialists offer support, empathy, encouragement, information, and referrals as necessary.

- After-hours for emergency food. Also, refers to the Housing Resource Line for shelter resources and housing information. - Crisis intervention for mental health crises by phone and face-to-face including psychiatric crisis intervention, outreach services, short-term crisis counseling, emergency psychiatric hospitalization, after-hours adult protection, child endangerment reporting, and after-hours child protection reporting - Diversion from out-of-home placement - Mental health crisis assessment is completed within 90 days or less to find out what option is available to the individual. Parenting Support Services - Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota - Metro

- Family Circle Conference: Provides co-parenting resources. Works to bring families together to celebrate their strengths, learn new approaches to bridging communication to improve relationships and create a family focused plan to address the safety, well-being, and stability of children. - Parents Forever: Hands on classes for parents or caregivers experiencing divorce, separation, or change in custody. A facilitator guides parents through 8 hours of content that results in a supportive co-parenting plan. - Sexual Health Education: Comprehensive sexual health and teen pregnancy prevention program geared for all ages and stages of life. This program is tailored to parents and caregivers so they can be empowered, educated, and confident to approach issues of sexuality with their children. - Manages services in cooperation with Hennepin and Ramsey counties for the Parent Support Outreach Programs.
