Callers who do not fit into priorities receive advice, or information and referral. Direct Access allows an individual to go directly to a provider they choose to receive a comprehensive assessment and access care immediately. Provides funding for eligible individuals seeking chemical dependency services is available through the Consolidated Chemical Dependency Treatment Fund. Chemical dependency assessment is available for eligible individuals and both voluntary and court-ordered individuals. Possible referrals and arrangements made for primary treatment, extended care, halfway house and other services.

Minnesota's version of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). Statewide MFIP helps families work their way out of poverty by providing temporary cash and food benefits to eligible families. Statewide MFIP has a 60-month limit, there are some limited exceptions and extensions to the time limit. Participants are required to follow certain work rules. Failure to meet work rules will result in their MFIP grants being sanctioned or reduced. In addition: - Child support will be pursued in those situations where one or both parents are absent - A women expecting a baby may receive assistance for herself during her pregnancy - Children who are being cared for by certain relatives may receive assistance NOTE: MFIP recipients may be eligible for Emergency Assistance, Child Care Assistance, Medical Assistance, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
Primarily offers market rate but also has some apartments available as Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 8 residences. Senior apartment complexes are located throughout the state of Minnesota. Senior independent living sites may feature the following amenities: - 24 hour on site staff - Activities - Community and guest room - Elevator and laundry facilities - ER system throughout building - Dogs under twenty pounds and cats welcome - Off street parking - Park within one mile - Requires a security deposit - Secured building - Service coordination - Water and heat included in rent

Do you struggle with the complex and often convoluted language of tax returns? Do you want to understand how to enhance your tax time experience? Available for seniors over 55 and those with low to moderate income, this service allows participants to maximize the benefits of both income tax returns and property taxes. ? AARP Volunteer Tax Preparers assist income tax returns from February to April 15th on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Additionally, they go over property taxes or renter's rebates from June through August on the second Monday of each month from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., no appointment is needed. A federal assistance program that helps pay for the medical care and nursing home care of individuals who cannot pay for their care. The medical services that may be paid for by Medical Assistance (MA) include: - Chemical dependency care - Eyecare - Hospital care - Mental health treatment - Nursing home care - Physician care - Prescriptions - Routine dental care - Reimbursement for medical transportation and other health care access services is available ? NOTE: Individuals may be eligible only for MA or they may also be eligible for one of the cash assistance programs, EMA, and/or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) services. Those who receive cash through MFIP or MSA will, with few exceptions, also receive MA. MA is different from Medicare. People with disabilities who work, even if they're over the income or asset limits of MA, may still qualify for a program called Medical Assistance for Employed Persons with Disabilities (MA-EPD).

Used for commercial real estate projects, such as mortgage or major renovation and has more flexibility than traditional lenders - Healthy Food Fund: Specialized loan for local food retailers and producers that helps with replacing dated equipment, investing in technology, expanding business, purchasing inventory, hiring staff, updating building, purchasing new or existing store, and more - SBA Microloan: Start up loan for working capital, inventory, or equipment purchase - Working Capital Loan: Loan provides access to cash for various projects and investments such as marketing campaigns, purchased inventory, upgrade equipment, or expand business operation.
