Works with victims of general crimes including physical assault, harassment, stalking, identity theft, attempted murder, and men who are victims of intimate partner violence, in addition to other crime victimizations. Provides support through services: - Assists applying for compensation assistance from the Crime Reparations Board - Assists in filing Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders - Assists preparing a victim impact statement - Assists with restitution paperwork - Being a liaison between the victim, police department, and county attorney - Provides crisis intervention for victims - Provides help through crisis line - Provides referrals to community and area agencies Grant funds (when available) are used to meet the emergency needs of crime victims - Provides victim rights information - Support and guidance through medical, law enforcement, and legal processes ? Emergency assistance includes, but is not limited to, the following expenses: - Cleanup of a crime scene - Purchase and installation of necessary home security devices - Reimbursement for reasonable travel and living expenses that the victim incurred to attend court proceedings that were held at a location other than the place where the crime occurred due to the change in venue - Reimbursement of towing and storage fees incurred due to impoundment of a recovered stolen vehicle - Replacement of necessary property that was lost, damaged or stolen as a result of a crime - Transportation to locations related to the victim's needs as a victim such as medical facilities and facilities of the criminal justice system. - When available, funding through the program for items such as repairing a broken door, installing new locks, and replacing clothing or bedding taken as evidence.

A range of advocacy and crisis intervention for victims, families, and community members affected by crime and violence. Examples of general crime include burglary, identity theft, homicide, robbery, fraud, auto theft, and bias/hate crimes. An advocate will reach out to the individual to assess and gather any additional information needed. The monetary Emergency Victim Assistance (EVA) limit is $1000 but not all cases will call for the full amount. Services eligible for Emergency Victim Assistance (EVA): - Car repairs that are the result of auto theft, carjacking, vandalism, and car repairs essential for the safety and function of the vehicle - Eyeglass replacement due to assault or theft - Gift cards for food and basic personal items - Reimbursement of up to $1000 for qualifying services with receipt/documentation - Reimbursement of replacement costs for items such as vehicle plates and identification - Rent/mortgage assistance due to harassment, direct gun violence, threats, or targeted danger - Transportation in the form of Uber, Lyft, or Metro Transit gift card NOTE: The program does not assist with cases involving domestic violence, sexual violence, and/or child abuse

Toll-free call center, Live-Chat, website, social media, newsletters, breach reports, Hands-On Mobile Privacy Workshops, and Presentations empower people to protect their personal information. - Assistance to individuals who have been a victim of identity theft, fraud, scams, and cybercrimes including identity compromise involving personal information given to scammers, exposed in breaches, or lost or stolen documents, as well as misuse involving unauthorized use of information for creating new accounts or taking over existing accounts. - Resources for prevention of identity theft - Staff advisors provide detailed guidance and continuous support until the issue is resolved
