Provides victims and witnesses consistent and dependable information about their cases. Provides the following types of assistance to victims and witnesses of crimes prosecuted by the Ramsey County Attorney's Office: - Information regarding victim rights - Transportation assistance - Timely information regarding hearing dates and schedule changes - Arrangements made for interpretive services - Assistance in obtaining time off from employment for court - Assistance in applying for witness fees and compensation from the Crime Victims Reparation Board - Referrals to outside agencies - Assistance with matters related to restitution and the return of property
Provides support and information to all persons who have been victimized by a crime in Benton County. - Accompanies victims and witnesses to criminal court hearings - Assistance in applying for witness fees, restitution from the offender, and compensation from the Minnesota Crime Victims Reparations Board - Assist with the return of property held by police - Education and preparation for trials - Information regarding statuses of the case - Referrals to other Benton County services or community resources - Transportation to court
