Available volunteer positions range from court advocacy to roles in maintenance, mentorship, office assistance, public speaking, reception and transportation support. All items should be new or gently used. Additional services include: - Advocacy and follow-up support - Court accompaniment - Crisis information - Education programs - Information and referral - Intake assessments for coordinated entry housing programs - Order for protection and harassment restraining - Order filling assistance - Reparations assistance - Safety planning - Support groups Also accepts donations of cell phones and inkjet cartridges. Cell phones are offered to individuals who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault so they may place emergency (911) phone calls. Other cell phones and inkjet cartridges are mailed to a company that recycles the phones and in turn, donates to Crisis Resource Center of Steele County.

Bluff Country Family Resources provides crisis response and ongoing supportive services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Services include a 24-hour crisis line providing immediate telephone connection with a trained volunteer advocate who can provide immediate in-person crisis response services. The advocate can also assist with obtaining a protective order / temporary restraining order, safety planning, and accompaniment to court or legal services (restraining orders, stalking/harassment orders, divorce proceedings, child custody issues, or other related legal concerns). Emergency financial assistance may also be available for food, gas, or other basic necessities (on a case-by-case basis). Other services include ongoing emotional support including mutual support groups for survivors of domestic violence, harassment, or stalking and information and referral to appropriate community agencies including referrals for male survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.

Victims can seek help, guidance, and support through the Domestic Abuse Service Center. Multiple services are provided at one centralized location, such as advocacy, connecting to prosecution team, legal consultation, and representation from pro-bono attorneys. Services provided: - Advocacy and referral for any other service that the victim may need such as housing, counseling, or victim's compensation - Advocates from several culturally specific agencies on a rotating basis - Access to police, city of Minneapolis or Hennepin County prosecutors, probation, and child protection services for victims of domestic abuse - Help with Orders for Protection - On-site playroom, interpretive services, some transportation assistance - Safe environment; on-site deputy sheriff providing security NOTE: To find out if an Order was served, contact the Sheriff's Office.
