Provides a thrift store at three locations and offers daily specials. Victims may be eligible for a voucher at the thrift store to obtain clothing, household goods, and furniture items. Accepts donated items such as bedding/linens, books, movies, music/CDs, clothing, furniture, home decor, household appliances, jewelry, kitchen appliances, seasonal items, sporting goods, toys, and games. Items not accepted are baby furniture, televisions, computers, office printers, large appliances, mattresses, sleeper sofas, textbooks, exercise equipment, and items that are broken or non-working.

Collects, stores, and provides bath towels, bath rugs, bakeware, clean bedding (bed blankets, comforters, mattress pads, new or gently used pillows, and sheets), dishes, dish towels, flatware, glasses, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, used furniture (bed frames, chairs, chests, coffee tables, dinette sets, dressers, end tables, lamps, love seats, mattresses, nightstands, small bookcases, and sofas), and basic household items in working condition (blenders, coffee makers, irons, fans, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners) in good condition from community members and shares with families in need in Douglas County through referrals from approved community service and crisis agencies.

Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Families can receive assistance once every 3-year period. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. The one-time grant assistance may help individuals in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut off (electric, gas, heating fuel, water service payment assistance), eviction, foreclosure, moving expense and/or deposit, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair. NOTE: Client may also be eligible for Emergency Medical Assistance

Assistance Vouchers: provides vouchers for clothing, household items, and furniture on a case by case basis and when available Brown Bag Food: distribution offered monthly for senior citizens 65+ only Case Management: for families who request budget counseling, personal counseling and other long-term professional services. Food Shelf: Walk-in, First come, First Serve, Limited to the first 60 participants a day. Anyone after 60 can receive a bag of food. Youth Food Shelf Seasonal Services: HeatShare, and emergency disaster services Food support application assistance (SNAP) Community Center: Provides a variety of programs to meet physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs including group daily program, summer day camping, senior citizen programs, congregate dining through RAP, athletics, arts and crafts, music and drama, preschool programs, sports, gymnasium, weight training, after school programs, etc.

Winona Volunteer Services offers vouchers and referrals to meet a variety of needs for people who are struggling. Before a voucher is given an in-depth conversation will take place between the individual and staff to determine individual's circumstances. Vouchers may be issued for the items listed below. - Clothing vouchers may be issued for the Winona Volunteer Services Clothes Shop. If specific employment-related clothing is required a voucher may be issued to Rogan's or another local entity. - Diapers voucher may be issued for parents/guardians experiencing unexpected financial difficulty. - Formula vouchers may be issued, but a referral from WIC is required. - Vouchers may be issued for individuals needing cooking supplies. - ID replacement financial assistance may be available for individuals needing ID to gain employment, but a referral from Careerforce Center is required. - Miscellaneous emergency needs financial assistance may be provided when no other assistance is available. - Please note that utility assistance is not available through Winona Volunteer Services and that basic assistance via vouchers is available via Law Enforcement @ 201 W 3rd St at night and on weekends.

Services include: - Co-pay, medical care costs, and prescription expense assistance - Diaper and formula vouchers - Food vouchers - Furniture vouchers and referrals to Bridging to receive furniture - Gas money vouchers or gift cards are available once every 6 months depending upon the situation - The Heat Share program provides fuel oil, gas, and electric payment assistance to avoid disconnect - Housing-related coordinated entry assessments for anyone looking for housing in Wright County - Information and referral for eye care and food shelf - Networking support - Other financial assistance for emergencies beyond the individual's control - Pathway of Hope: Mentoring program for families with children under age 18. - Thrift store that sells new and gently used clothing and household items to the public with all proceeds supporting the programs and services of Hasting Family Service - Emergency clothing vouchers are available once per season and vouchers for household items are available once annually at no cost to those in need - Accepts donations of clean, gently used clothing, small household items, games, toys, accessories, and books - Furniture Bank: Resource list of offers of donated furniture/household items too large to bring to the store that is available to customers to find items they need. Furniture and larger items are not accepted at the thrift store.

Provides the following services once every 12 months: - Discounted Cell Phones: A representative from Open Access Connections is available Tuesdays except for the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 9:30 am - 11:30 am, to assist clients with applying for a discounted ($30) cell phone and/or a voice mail number/box. Note: The Basilica does not provide free cell phones or the $30. Gas cards: $20 maximum to Speedway; valid license is required Vouchers to assist with obtaining a state ID, Minnesota driver's license, birth certificate from any state, and the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store for clothing and/or housewares (no furniture). Bus cards for those with verifiable new jobs and gas cards for individuals with a valid driver's license. Must reside in the city of Minneapolis. Provides the following services once every 30 days: Laundry vouchers for one wash and dry (limited supply) Hygiene items
