- Civil process - Code RED: Web-based system which allows the sheriff's office the ability to reach a large number of residents in a very short time, by geographically-based delivery of telephone, and text messaging - Crime tip line - Firearm disposal; does not take ammunition or explosives. - Internship opportunities for undergraduate college or university students enrolled in an educational institution that has a structured internship program - Jail Division operates an eight day, five bed temporary juvenile holding facility - Permits to carry handguns - Prescription, over-the-counter and pet medication in any form from households can be dropped off in the drug drop box. Medications should be kept in the original container and placed in a sealed, clear plastic bag. Individuals should use a marker to cross out their name on the container. Drop off is anonymous - no ID is required. If the individual doesn't have the original container, medication should be placed in a clear, plastic bag and the name of the medication should be written on the bag. Holds boarded detainees from other jurisdictions, which may be experiencing overcrowding or have a detainee with special needs that that jurisdiction can not accommodate. Any person convicted of a crime with a sentence of over one year would typically be transferred to a state facility.
The Sheriff's Office oversees the county jail services providing for the care and maintenance of incarcerated adults following arrest or commitment by the court.

- Emergency management: The Emergency Management division coordinates various emergency and non-emergency trainings, disaster exercises, and administrative functions needed with a county-wide emergency management system. - Jail: This division is responsible for the incarceration of Wright County prisoners for up to one year, as licensed by the Minnesota Department of Corrections. - Sheriff: Provides law enforcement services to the unincorporated areas of the county and additionally provide contract law enforcement services for 13 cities. There are five divisions within the Sheriff's Office: Operations, Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Business Administration, and Corrections (Jail). - Special permits: The Wright County Sheriff's Office issues permits for various activities or events.
