The following is a partial list of services the Big Lake Police Department has available to its residents at no cost. Some of the programs and activities are done in cooperation with the Big Lake District Chamber of Commerce and various other community organizations. - Awareness and education classes for citizens - Back-to-school safety promotion - Criminal investigations - Fingerprinting - Halloween safety bags and instruction - Neighborhood watch - Operation ID - Orientations and seminars on request - Premise surveys - Residential security checks for those who might be vacationing or leaving town for a period of time - Run, yell, and tell program - Security watch - Speed trailer placement - Vehicle unlocks

- Division of community outreach provides presentations to companies, civic and nonprofit groups, professional and faith-based organizations, community events, schools, and parent groups - Bullying and cyberbullying prevention and education - Resource library of videotapes and printed materials concerning the issue of online safety, personal safety, non-family abductions, and sexual exploitation - Participates at Community Notification meetings in partnership with law enforcement and other organizations

National clearinghouse for information on missing and exploited children. Services include: - CyberTipline takes reports on sexual exploitation of children 24 hours/7 days a week. Reports for cases of child sexual exploitation including child pornography, online enticement of children for sex acts, molestation of children outside the family, child victims of prostitution, and unsolicited obscene material sent to a child. - Offers education and resource publications for information about statistics, data, and issues relating to missing children - Provides transportation for the reunification of missing child to family - Reporting of sightings of missing children
