Advises and assists veterans and their dependents with the following: - Applying for health care enrollment for VAhealth care including primary medical care, medications, inpatient and outpatient care, chemical dependency, optometry, orthopedics, podiatry, audiology, and more - Burial benefits - Claims for compensation and pension - Employment - Housing including VA home loan, State Veterans Homes (long term care, board, and care), and homeless resources - Legal clinics - Recreational/discounts for veterans - Temporary financial assistance through State Soldiers and Assistance Programs (SSAP) including dental, optical, special needs education benefits, substance assistance, and war orphan benefits - Transportation to and from VA-authorized appointments for ambulatory veterans who do not have other means of transportation due to financial or medical hardship

Assistance and technical support to all veterans and their dependents with all state and federal veterans' benefits includes assisting veterans and dependents with applications and/or claims for any of these benefits and services: Federal Benefits (US Department of Veterans Affairs) - Agent Orange benefits - Burial benefits - Disability compensation (service connected disabilities) - Education benefits - Medical Care at VA Hospitals - Non-service pension - VA Home Loans - Vocational Rehabilitation State Benefits (MN Department of Veterans Affairs) - Dental and optical assistance - Post-9/11 Veteran Service Bonus (note: deadline for applications is June 30, 2024) - State veterans cemetery (Little Falls, MN) - State veterans homes (nursing home and domiciliary care) - Temporary financial assistance for shelter, utility, healthcare insurance premium and personal needs (short term disability) - Veterans and war orphans education benefits - Veterans preference advocacy

- - Partners Care Program: Assists patients who do not qualify for Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care, and whose annual incomes are at or below 275% of the federal poverty level - - - Payment plans - - - Uninsured Discount Program: Individuals who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for Medicaid or Partners Care receive a discount on medically necessary charges. Patients with insurance who receive medically necessary services that are not covered by their insurance may also be eligible.

Assists patients in resolving their account balance if they cannot be paid in full. - Bank Loan: Co-signed by Olmsted Medical Center and provided at 0% interest. Balance owed must be greater than $250. Loan cannot be applied to costmetic services. - Extended Payments: Monthly payments based upon the total balance - Financial Assistance: Offered to individuals who are unable to pay for their medical services. Eligibility is based upon household income and assets as well as the number of people in the household against current guidelines.
