If something on a questionnaire causes concern, a nurse will visit the home and take action if appropriate. - Food recall information - Home health care including home nursing with blood pressure screening, diabetes education for newly diagnosed patients, instructions for new diets, and monitoring of medication administration. Home Health Aides assist with bathing and personal care, meal preparation, and assistance with hair and oral care. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists provide services also. - Immunizations: available for children and young adults, birth through age 18. Hepatitis B and Tdap for a fee for adults. Flu shots available from October through December. - Mantoux testing (tuberculosis) - Loan closet - Maternal and child health (car seats available for low-income families) - Prenatal care and education including safety and proper use of car seats - School health nurses consult with teachers on topics such as AIDS, teen pregnancy prevention, self-breast exams, and nutrition.
