Adoption and Foster Care Support Group Olmsted County sponsors a parent-led adoption support group. The group is open to the public and tailored to meet support and educational needs of foster parents, families considering adoption, or families who have adopted privately, publicly, domestically, or internationally. Mission is to offer families a forum to receive post-adoption support that will enable them to: - Enhance their ability to manage the complexity and lifelong process of adoption - Form new partnerships with other adoptive families - Learn about new resources and training - Network with other adoptive families - Share questions and concerns with group members Child care provided on-site by a social worker. Adoption Services Provides adoption services to children in the Minnesota Waiting Children's Program and the families who seek to adopt them. - Children who are available for adoption come from throughout the State of Minnesota and almost all of them have been removed from their biological families due to abuse or neglect - Most waiting children are over the age of 8, many have physical and/or emotional disabilities, some are brothers and sisters who want to stay together, and many are children of color Before becoming eligible to adopt, an individual needs to go through a licensing process.

Provides pro-life pregnancy services and information such as: Medical Services: - Pregnancy testing - Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing and treatment - Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment - Ultrasound (limited basis) Support Services: - After abortion support - Adoption support - Community resources - Parenting support

Provides adoption case management and services to children who are under jurisdiction, (children who have become available for adoption because of a child protection process and are already in foster care.)

Provides the licensing for child foster care and adoptive placement services to children who are in need of an adoptive home through the State Adoption Exchange. Services include: - Information about licensing requirements and standards - Inspections and investigations on certifications for foster care licensing - Orientation, licensing, re-licensing of foster care certification - Referral of information to local and private adoption agencies for families who are interested in adoption

Pro-life pregnancy resource center that offers free abortion information, adoption information and referrals, maternity and infant items, medical referrals, parenting education, post-abortion support, pregnancy options information, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease (STD) and sexually transmitted infection (STI) information, and support for men. Parents can earn Baby Bucks after attending each lesson offered through BrightCourse, which can be redeemed in the Baby Boutique.
