Minnesota Father's Adoption Registry - Minnesota Department of Health
Allows possible biological, but not as yet, legal fathers to receive notice of pending adoption proceedings for their children. Attempts to balance the interests of the mother, child, and father when an adoption plan is being considered. This registry must be searched for every adoption that takes place in the state of Minnesota, prior to the finalization of any adoption, to determine if a putative father is registered. If a putative father is registered, that individual must be notified regarding any adoption pending or being planned for the child.
