Girls Inc. at YWCA Minneapolis - YWCA of Minneapolis

In partnership with Girls, Inc., YWCA offers a mentorship program delivered by trained professionals to help youth take risks, discover and grow their strengths, learn to value themselves, and create long-lasting mentorship in a pro-girl environment. Offers a research-based curriculum to help participants to: - Achieve academically - Discover an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) - Lead healthy and physically active lives - Make positive connections to peers and adults, contribute to society, and believe in their ability to create the best possible future for themselves - Manage money - Navigate media messages Programs Offered: - Girls Inc. Eureka Program: A five-year cohort for youth interested in STEM fields. Partners with the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota to guide participants to explore career interests and dreams while supporting them through high school graduation and preparing them for their next steps. - Girls RAP Program (Resolution and Prevention) Program: An intervention program that works with 12-18 years old girl-identifying youth using an empowerment framework. Community RAP works with youth who are involved or at-risk for involvement with the juvenile justice and adjacent systems. School-based RAP works with youth who may be experiencing challenges with or within the school environment. - Out-of-School Time Program: Available to girls and gender-expansive youth in grades 4-8 in the Minneapolis Public Schools and at YWCA Minneapolis. The program focuses on economic literacy, leadership, community engagement, and healthy decision making.

Youth Intensive Outpatient Program After School Program - PrairieCare

Offered year-round as an After School Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed for adolescents ages 12 - 18 years. The program has an average length of 6 - 8 weeks long. The program allows patients the opportunity to work programming into their currently scheduled schooling and activities. This treatment program will focus on skills building and support for adolescents and their parents and caregivers. Adolescents who enter the program typically will have difficulty functioning in one or more of the following areas: family/relationships, school, and community. The treatment team works closely with families to tailor the program to the individual needs of the adolescent and their family. Services provided in the youth IOP program may include evidenced-based structured programming for skills development, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, mindfulness-based stress management techniques, psychological education, parent coaching and skills development group, and medication management as needed.

Children and Family Services - Counseling Services of Southern Minnesota

Provides infant and early childhood therapy services: - Attachment Bio-behavioral Catch-up (ABC): For children ages 6 - 48 months. ABC is an infant/toddler-caregiver treatment developed to treat infants/toddlers who have experienced early adversity. Caregivers are coached in three skills while learning to reduce frightening and overwhelming behaviors with their young children. ?- Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP): For children ages birth - 6 years old. CPP is a child-caregiver treatment developed to examine how the trauma and the caregivers' relational history affect the caregiver-child relationship and the child's developmental trajectory. ?- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT): For children ages 3 - 7 years old. PCIT is a treatment for young children with emotional and behavioral disorders that emphasizes the quality of the caregiver-child relationship and strengthening caregiver-child interaction patterns to improve calm, warmth, and focus within the caregiving relationship. Also provides school-linked mental health therapy. By providing services within the schools, children and youth who may never have had access to mental health services can now obtain those services.

Referral from the Hennepin County Community Connections and Rehabilitation only. - Transgender Mental Health: Provides therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families regarding gender identity development - Diversity Social Work Advancement Program: Master's degree students provide low or no-cost, outpatient therapy services to underrepresented communities (BIPOC, new immigrants, refugees and LGBTQ+) for adults, adolescents, and children in individual, family, couple and group formats - School Linked Mental Health: Provides therapy for children and young adults up to age 21 at participating partner schools. Children's Therapeutic Services and Support (CTSS): Provides therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents whose functioning is impaired due to a mental health or emotional difficulty. Skills training focuses on daily living activities and coping strategies. Prevention and Early Intervention Services - PACT for Families Collaborative - Willmar

PACT for Families school social workers/counselors work to cover the school year plus additional time for student and family contact at the start and end of the year. Some staff help with targeted services or special programming into June; others work with a "jumpstart" program in late summer to help kids get re-engaged with school. During the school year, staff provide a critical link between school and students and their families. They are involved with special education programming and provide a combination of classroom presentations, small group sessions, and individual meetings with students.
