Regional and County Parks - Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department

Offers nine county parks, six regional parks and five regional trail corridors. Many parks include lake access and provide a variety of recreation opportunities, such as boating, picnicking, play areas and swimming. Clothing, Basic Household Needs and Support - Reach and Restore

Provides clothing (via clothing closet) by appointment and basic household items/furniture to people in need who are referred. Small food donations and prayers are available at an appointment. Birthday Closet: Available for parents who need help providing for their child's birthday. A referral from a partner agency is required. Employment Support: Job search, interview, and resume counseling; available by appointment. Haircuts: By appointment only and based on stylist availability, haircuts are available to current clients of Reach and Restore Life Coaching: helps people reach their goals by navigating the steps to reach those goals; available by appointment

Family Programs - Western Communities Action Network - WeCAN

Provides the follwing services: - Adopt a Family: A holiday giving program connecting low-income families with anonymous sponsors that provide the families with gifts and necessities ?- Birthday Shelf: Gifts and party supplies to celebrate a child's birthday - Personal Hygiene: Personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies given out once per month to stretch budgets - Pet Food Assistance: Pet food available once per month if needed - Ready to Learn: School supplies and backpacks for children in grades K-12

Help Line - Love INC - Carver County

Provides a means for churches and other organizations to work together to match up volunteers to meet an individual's or family's needs. Provides: - Baby Care Ministry: Helps young families by providing infant and toddler high chairs, baby cribs, pack-n-plays, and strollers - Build-A-Bed: Builds and gives single beds and bunk beds. Also delivers them directly to homes and assembles them in the room. - Bike Ministry: Provides bicycles for adults and children - Clean Sweep: Helps families with basic cleaning supplies such as paper towels, trash bags, sponges, all-purpose spray, toilet bowl cleaner, and more - Clothing Ministry: Provides essential clothing through Trending Upward Thrift Shoppe - Diaper Ministry: Helps young families by providing diapers, pull-ups, and wipes for babies and toddlers - Food and Gas Cards: Provides gift cards for food and gas - FurniShare: Matches up donations of household goods and furniture (including beds, mattresses/box springs (free of stains, rips, and tears), dressers, kitchen tables/chairs, and living room furniture) with people who need them. Also provides monthly furniture sales. - Kitchen Essentials: Offers a basic supply of silverware, dishes, cups, and cookware to individuals and families - LAM Vac Valet: Donates and repairs vacuum cleaners in good condition - Loads of Love: Cares for families in need by providing laundry detergent, fabric sheets, dish, and dishwasher soap - Personal Care: Provides necessary personal items including soap, shampoo, razors, toilet paper, deodorant, feminine products, and more - The Birthday Closet Ministry: Provides supplies for children's birthdays - The Linen Closet: Provides new or used blankets, sheets, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths - Towel Ministry: Provides bath towels, kitchen towels, and washcloths - Winter Wear Ministry: Provides boots, coats, hats, mittens, and scarves

Birthday Parties - Artistry

One and a 1/4 hours of art instruction and an additional 3/4 hour for cake and ice cream (which the parent provides). Each child will create their own "masterpiece".

Children's Programs - Community Emergency Assistance Programs - CEAP

- Baby and Toddler Care Packages: Clients participating in the food shelf may also receive a care package that contains diapers/pull-ups, wipes, onesies, hats, baby lotion and body wash, formula, bottles, and baby food. Not all items are always available based on supply. - Birthday Bags: Clients participating in the food shelf may receive a "Birthday Bag" for each child's birthday filled with candles, cake decorations, party favors for 6 - 8 kids, themed plates/napkins/etc., colorful party decorations (table cloths, paper streamers, etc.), and small toys or crafts. Parents can also choose one birthday cake or cupcakes. - LearnStrong Back To School: Provides backpacks filled with school supplies. - Toys of Joy Holiday Program: Provides a special event in December where parents can shop for toys for their children.

Provides recreational activities and facilities available to all ages year-round. Activities offered: - Adult sports such as pickle ball, volleyball, Crokicurl, basketball, softball, and dodge ball - Classes in computers, discussions, foot care services, and fitness for adults ages 55 and over - Community garden at Donahue North Park, lottery sign-up for plots begins in January - Dance classes such as belly dance, weddings, and couples dance - Park facility, community center/senior center room, and park field rentals - Physical fitness classes such as yoga, cardio, Tai Chi, strength training, and Zumba - Preschool and youth explore gymnastics, team sports, theater, arts, crafts, and tennis lessons - Swimming lessons year-round - Teen programs and teen center - Winter activities such as snowshoeing, ice hockey, ice skating, and snow trails
