Special Access Program - Korean Service Center

Programs providing assistance to non-English speaking Korean elderly to access community and government services that are not easily accessible due to language and cultural barriers. Services including: - Citizenship service: Citizenship application, passport, and permanent residency renewal - Consumer service: Bank, garden, and voting - Government benefits service: MSA (Minnesota Supplemental Aid), SSA (Social Security Administration), SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), and SSI (Supplemental Security Income) - Health care service: Medicaid, Medicare and MNSure - Housing services: Minneapolis Public Housing application and renewal - Language service: Interpretation and translation - Social and Cultural service: Korean holidays, major holidays and events, and parent's day - Supportive service: Education service and support groups

Diversity Program - VINE Faith in Action

Provides outreach to older adults who are refugees, immigrants, or other literacy-challenged adults. Services offered: - Advocacy and escort - Form assistance - Improve reading and writing skills for English literacy - Phone contact assistance - Service coordination and connection to essential resources for successful independent living - Translation services
