First City - Visitation and Safe Exchange Program - Northwoods Caregivers

- Supervised visitation and exchange services assist families in making exchanges and visitations healthy, safe and effective for all family members. First City offers a neutral, child-friendly space, with no contact between custodial and non-custodial parents or guardians for: - Dropping off/picking up children being exchanged for visits - Supervised visits of children with their non-custodial parent of guardian - Parent/Child Information & Referral To schedule an exchange or visit, both parties (custodial and non-custodial parents/guardians) must have separate interviews with a staff member of First City before any visits or exchanges can be scheduleed. During this meeting, the staff member will explain how the program works and will help each party complete the necessary forms. There is a $20 fee charged to each party for this intake process. Once the interview have been completed, the non-custodial parent may submit a request for dates and times they are wishing to have visits or exchanges. These requests are screened based on availability of staff, and are then presented to the custodial parent/guardian. All appropriate fees must be paid prior to any visits or exchanges.

Supervised Parenting and Safe Exchange Services - FamilyWise Services

Operates many sites for supervised visitation services and safe exchange services. Supervised Parenting: This program is available for those who are seeking parenting time with their child but are required to do so within the presence of a neutral third party. Sessions are typically two hours in length and available seven days a week. High, medium, and low supervision for visits is available. Monitored Parenting: A program for parents who are transitioning from supervised parenting and no longer need to have supervisor present at all times during the visit. Supervisors check in with the family several times during the session and document at each check-in. Sessions are typically two hours in length, but can be more or less if needed, and may occur in a group setting. Monitored Exchanges: Parents seeking to transfer their children from one parent to the other without having to have contact with the other parent can use this program. Monitored exchanges are supervised and performed by staff. Staff documents each exchange. Exchanges are performed seven days a week during programming hours.

Parenting Time Services - Safe Avenues

Provides the opportunity for children to spend time with their non-custodial parent(s) during periods of separation and turmoil in order to maintain, build, or rebuild the parent-child bond. During all services, staff provides supportive parenting education upon request or when a need is identified. All services are individualized and designed to strengthen and preserve families by promoting safe and healthy relationships. Types of visitations/exchanges include: - Semi-supervised visitations: used as an alternative to fully supervised visitation. During semi-supervised visits, a staff is not with the family throughout the entire visit but does check in periodically and are available as a resource if needed. - Supervised exchanges: used by families when there are no concerns about the children spending time with the non-custodial parent, but there are concerns about the child witnessing hostility between parents during an exchange. Staff provides the transfer of the children from one parent to the other, thus eliminating the exposure to any hostility. - Supervised visits: available for parents who cannot be alone with their children. Staff supervises these visits to ensure the safety of the children and provide objective documentation of the parent and child interactions.

Supervised Visitation - Ross Resources, LTD

- Visits are supervised by a trained Ross Resources Staff, known as a family visitation partner, either at the Ross Resources office, in the home, or in the community - Visits can be scheduled during the day or in the evening, as well as on weekends if necessary. The visits can be scheduled as often as the referring agency deems appropriate - Transportation for the parents and/or children can also be provided by Ross Resources staff - The referring agency can request staff to monitor certain things based on the family's case plan and documentation of observed behaviors is then provided to the referring agency in accordance with the case plan Ross Resources will also provide supervised visitation for individuals not involved with Itasca County Health and Human Services on a fee for service basis: - These requests will be screened by the visitation coordinator in regards to any safety concerns there might be - There is an intake process that the visiting parent needs to go through before visitation can be scheduled - Payment is required prior to visits - These visits would occur only at the Ross Resources office and transportation is not provided - Documentation for these visits can be provided to the visiting parent as well as court staff involved with the case at the request, and with the permission, of the parent

Safe Exchange and Supervised Visitation Programs - Lutheran Social Service - Northeast Region

Safe exchange provides services for parents who need a neutral environment for one parent or foster parent to drop off their child and for the other parent to pick up their child for visitation rights. Families who use this service may do so as a result of a court order or on a voluntary basis. Supervised visitation conducts supervised family visits with flexible scheduling and locations. Families referred by counties and courts, as well as providing fee-based supervised visits for families who seek them independently.
