Black urban farms designed to be both a gathering space and increase food access. Offers free produce pick up, gardening and food preparation classes, community events, skills-building workshops, and environmentally conscious workshops for community members of all ages. Program includes weekly Conversations and Coffee (C&C), a cross generational gathering event focussed on relationship building and storytelling. Conversations and Coffee (C&C) brings in Black and BIPOC elders from the community to share stories with youth and adults about the history of people of color in Duluth. Staff assist with exploring options, accessing programs and services, and securing needed supports at home Independent Living Skills Training: Offers instruction in areas such as budgeting, transportation, time management, organization, housing searches, cooking and smart consumerism, healthy relationships, post-secondary navigation, and employment Individual Advocacy: Supports individuals in understanding their rights, identifying rights violations, and gaining tools to advocate for themselves.
