Services include: - Chat room: Offers free, scheduled, live sessions online in a group chat platform with trained volunteer pet loss specialists who are available to offer support for those grieving the loss or anticipating the loss of a beloved companion animal - Curated listing of recommended readings on various pet and animal topics such as pet loss and euthanasia - Information directory: Provides a comprehensive listing of service providers who are local and online that provide animal chaplain services, animal hospitals, in-home euthanasia, no-charge support groups, partnerships, pet cemeteries, pet loss counselors, pet loss support groups, and other resources - Online video support group program: An online group video session hosted by a pet loss grief support specialist that provides a safe and private space to meet others who are going through similar loss of a beloved companion animal. - Chair Massage: Volunteers provide a 20 minute chair massage. Volunteers must be a licensed massage therapist. Massage chairs provided. Schedules are flexible. - Hand Massage: Volunteers provide a 10-15 minute hand massage to guests and caregivers generally over a 2 hour time period. Individual training and materials are provided. Schedules are flexible. - Office Support: Volunteers greet guests and visitors, answer phones, prepare materials for guest arrivals, and provide administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the front desk. Individual training is provided. Schedules are flexible. - Tour Guide: Since a tour is mandatory prior to staying at Gift of Life Transplant House, tour guides provide a tour of the house, including information about guidelines and expectations. Individual training is provided. Schedules are flexible.
- Drivers for transportation program. Drivers must have a clean driving record, be willing to contribute 1-2 hours per ride, and can provide assistance through flexible scheduling based upon their availability. - Gala Volunteer Coordinator assists the Committee Chair by providing with assistance in procuring volunteers to support the Gala, as well as to coordinate those volunteers. - Group Respite volunteers who aid with facilitation of Group Respite activities, providing clients with additional one-on-one assistance. - In-kind donations for silent auction, PPE, and necessary office supplies. - Mailing volunteers assist with mailings that occur on a semi-annual basis. - Male respite care 2 - 5 hours per week - Office and Development volunteers can provide clerical assistance in organizing event-related files and folders, making calls, writing and sending thank you cards, etc. - Receptionist - Silent Auction Volunteers work with 10-20 assigned/self-selected businesses/individuals in the community who are able to provide Elder Network with donated goods or services for their silent auction at the annual gala in September. - Social Media Volunteers help to develop content for social media account by collecting client testimonials, taking photographs, and helping draft content for the social media posts. - Socialization volunteers for friendly visitor program 1 - 2 hours per week - Technology assistance program volunteers to teach seniors how to use tablets to converse on Zoom and other digital platforms 1 - 2 hours per week
