In Home Care Service is a licensed service that provides an individualized assistance plan to help maintain and support healthy independent aging in the home and community. Aging individuals receive assistance in their home from a trained staff with a daily personal plan which can include household maintenance (laundry/cleaning), personal cares, and/or home management (phone calls, organizing, reading mail, arranging appointments), and socialization.

Provides the following supportive services: - Adopt-a-Grandparent - Assisted Transportation - age 60 and older - Caregiver support - Chore services - Eldercare - Family Caregiver - Friendly visits and phone calls - Furniture for Families - Grocery shopping - Home accessibility accessories installed - grab bars - Household goods - Lawn mowing, leaf raking, snow shoveling - Light housekeeping - Living with Memory Loss (for those who are living with memory loss) - Medical appointments - Medical equipment - Minor home repairs - Necessary errands - Parkinson's - Seasonal yard work - Support for seniors to remain living at home as long as possible - Volunteer opportunities - Youth mission work

Provides assistance to low- and moderate-income homeowners who do not have family members available to help with household chores. Volunteer opportunities are available in yard maintenance, home repair, snow shoveling, and more. May be able to help with: - Cleaning gutters and downspouts - Cleaning and changing screen and windows/doors - Raking leaves, mowing lawns, and shoveling snow - Railing and grab bar installation - Small home repairs - Trimming bushes

Provides the following services that increase an individual's opportunity to stay in their own home or apartment: Support planning: - Assistance in identifying services and ways to remain at home longer - Planning for the future as people age or disabilities progress - Ongoing support Friendly visiting: - Volunteers visit with seniors, caregivers and other people facing difficult life situations, sharing their joys and trials Chores - Snow removal - Yard work Transportation: - Providing rides for those who are unable to drive or have no means of transportation Housekeeping: - Laundry - Cleaning the home Note: There may be a waitlist for homemaking services depending on volunteer availability Simple Home Repair: - Provides seniors and people with disabilities who need help with simple home repair and modification Volunteer options available for people interested in assisting with homemaking, snow removal, and transportation.

Matches older adults and adults with disabilities to volunteers to assist with tasks allowing people to remain safely and independently in their own homes. - Gutter cleaning or window washing (first floor only) - Handyman tasks (not requiring a professional, includes painting) - Lawn care (gardening, lawn mowing, spring clean-up, weeding) - Light house cleaning (basic tasks such as bathrooms, dusting, floors, kitchens, and vacuuming) - Moving furniture within the home - Snow removal (shoveling/snow blowing driveway and shoveling sidewalk) provided on a one-time or short-term basis. A limited amount of volunteers provide this, so it may not always be available - Only available to those living in the Stillwater Area School District #834 Services are part of Community Thread's THRIVE program.
