CHUM welcomes volunteers to help with: - Event planning and support (various events year-round) - Food shelves (drivers; unloading, sorting, and stocking shelves) - Gardening (various locations) - Moving (furniture donation pickup) - Office Support (data entry and mailing) - Property and equipment (cleaning, painting, etc.) - Second Saturdays - monthly opportunities (ongoing or one-time) to volunteer with others; projects vary - Serving meals at various sites

Partners with fifteen food distribution locations across the metro area, providing a culturally-appropriate food shelf with a focus on the East African community. The food shelf program offers: - Food items such as rice, pasta, canned goods, cooking oil, fresh produce, and other culturally relevant items - Halal dietary standards - Clients can access the food shelf as needed. Does not accept food donations at this time. Volunteer opportunity positions are available to help with organizing, inspecting, distributing food, and assisting with cleaning the facility.

Provides a 5-day food supply according to family size and may occasionally have pet food for homeless and low-income pet owners. Services include: - Distribution of personal care supplies such as bar soap, cleaning supplies, dish soap, laundry soap, soap products, shampoo, toilet paper, and toothpaste. Supplies are limited depending on the donation items. - Donations of food and personal care items are accepted - Volunteer opportunities to help work with clients, assist in shopping, stock shelves, and accept contributions

Provides food; regular distribution can be done during open hours. If unable to attend, clients may send a proxy to collect food on their behalf. Emergency food boxes are available between distributions for people in a food emergency. - Bring donations to donation door D, located on the southeast side of the building, closest to Tenvoorde Ford. Do not leave donations outside the doors. Donations must be collected and weighed by Catholic Charities staff to ensure food safety standards and inventory tracking. - Receipts are available. - Accepts the following new or gently used items for donations for Basic Everyday Essentials: - Accessories: scarves, hats, mittens, backpacks, small luggage - Baby items: clothing, blankets, crib sheets, bottles, bibs, baby food, and formula - Kitchen items: pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware - Men, women, and children's clothing; greatest need for adults who are tall and larger sizes - Shoes - Small kitchen appliances: toasters, blenders, mixers, coffee makers - Towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets, bed pillows - Accepts the following items for donations for the Food Shelf: - Feminine hygiene products - Fresh produce (including home-grown) - Laundry detergent - Non-perishable food items - Personal care items: deodorant, shaving lotion and razors, shampoo/conditioner, soap, and toothpaste Volunteer positions: - Emergency Services Food Shelf - Emergency Services Basic Everyday Essentials - Individual, group, and student opportunities and court-ordered community service - Senior dining/Meals on Wheels: deliver meals, prepare food, set up dining sites for meals, serve meals, clean up after meals and clerical tasks - Student interns
