Children's Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) aim to help children: - Restore emotional, social, and behavioral skills that have been impacted by mental health disorders - Gain coping skills and self-management tools to manage symptoms and related stress - Develop abilities and skills that are typical for youth of the same age without mental health symptoms Specific services provided to a youth and their family are based on: - Family needs - Family culture - Availability - Model or type of services offered in the area CTSS services can be basic community-based therapy services, such as in a home or school. They can also be more structured and focused intensive site-based services, such as day treatment.
