Detoxification: - Removes toxic or harmful chemicals from the body. - Individuals are assisted by specially trained medical and counseling staff. - Available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Inpatient Treatment: - Provides intensive therapy in all aspects of recovery for those who are unable to maintain abstinence during outpatient treatment. - Residential stay is followed by an individualized schedule of outpatient treatment during day or evening hours. - Length of treatment varies according to the length of the residential stay, but typically averages 4-6 weeks for combined residential and outpatient treatment. Outpatient Treatment: - Intensive, conveniently structured treatment program for those individuals who are able to abstain from use of alcohol and other drugs while involved in the treatment process. - Treatment may be arranged during the day, evening, or a combination according to need. Aftercare and Relapse: - Provides support and stability for ongoing recovery of individuals who have completed primary treatment. - Aftercare groups (both men's and women's) focus on issues such as coping skills, securing ongoing support, family and marital dynamics, work pressures, socializing, spirituality, relaxation, and stress management. - May be recommended for those considered "high risk" for returning to alcohol or other drug use. - Builds awareness of a person's personal relapse process. - Explores old patterns and new choices to stop the cycle from repeating. Following an intake process, clients receive medical services, addiction counseling and relapse prevention education. Clients are monitored for withdrawal symptoms and an assessment is completed, followed by recommendations and referrals to community programs. - DWI Classes: Provides 8 hours of education on the effects of drinking and driving, along with tactics for improved decision making. Participants in this monthly program must be involved with traffic court or the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. - Substance Use Counseling: Provides a series of comprehensive 1:1 and group treatment options - Substance Use Outpatient Treatment Programs: Designed to help individuals overcome their dependence on alcohol and/or other chemicals. Options include 1:1 sessions with a licensed counselor, group therapy and ongoing support.

Co-occurring addiction treatment program which provides outpatient programming including: - Cognitive Processing Therapy: Provides treatment for PTSD and related conditions - Domestic Violence Program: 48 hours (24 sessions in 6 months). Helps men comprehend the full impact of domestic violence on their personal lives and loved ones' lives. Starting with an individual evaluation to see what services are needed, EmPower CTC helps participants with 24-week group sessions or individual sessions as needed. Other features include progress reports, dual disorder special programming, extended programming as needed and continued aftercare. - DUI Program: Insight and Alternatives programs are 8-hour and 12-hour chemical abuse diversion programs. Aimed at both DUI/DWI offenders or those with substance-related offenses, the program educates participants by providing information on the effects of chemicals. - Individual Assessments: Mental health and chemical health. Recommendations are provided and may include treatment either through EmPower CTC or another facility clinically appropriate for the individual. If the recommendation is for inpatient, EmPower CTC can assist with that process with facilities throughout Minnesota. - Individual Therapy: For addictive behaviors, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder-ADHD, anxiety, concentration and decision making, depression, impulse control, low self-esteem, obsessive behaviors, PTSD, relationship issues, trauma-induced disorders, veteran adjustment issues and more - Primary Chemical Dependency Outpatient: 90 hours (29 group sessions and 3 individual sessions in 10 weeks): 3 days - Relapse Prevention: 90 hours (36 mixed-gender group sessions plus 18 individual sessions in 18 weeks): 2 nights per week

Winona Counseling Clinic is a private therapy practice offering conjoint, family, individual, and telehealth counseling settings. General counseling topics include: abuse, adoption/foster care, aging, alcohol use disorder, anger management, bereavement/grief, bullying, caregiver, cultural transition, death and dying, divorce, domestic violence, drug use disorder, family planning, parenting, pre-marriage and marriage, relationships, reproductive issues, sexual assault, spiritual/religious issues, suicide, terminal illness, and weight-related issues. This practice offers mental health screenings and assessments including: anxiety disorders screening, court ordered DUI evaluations, depression screening, early intervention for mental illness, eating disorders screening, general assessments for substance use disorders, general mental health screening, psychological assessment, and psychological testing. This practice also offers an impaired driver program for adolescents and adults. Additionally, counseling is offered for people with anxiety disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), bi-polar disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, depression, eating disorders, mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorders, perinatal/postpartum depression, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), reactive attachment disorder, and self injury. Counseling for people with the following health disorders is also available: cancer, chronic illness, chronic pain, diabetes, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, physical disabilities. Pregnancy counseling is also provided (pro-choice and right-to-life perspectives offered). The agency provides targeted services for: active military, Black/African Americans, caregivers, court-ordered individuals, crime victims/witnesses, farmers/agricultural laborers, foster children, Hispanic/Latino persons, people with low incomes, men, migrants, Native Americans, pregnant persons, stepfamilies/blended families, veterans, and women. This practice includes counselors who can offer Christian faith-based counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
