Central Intake/Assessment for Substance Use Disorders
Comprehensive Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment
Detoxification: - Removes toxic or harmful chemicals from the body.
- Individuals are assisted by specially trained medical and counseling staff.
- Available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Inpatient Treatment: - Provides intensive therapy in all aspects of recovery for those who are unable to maintain abstinence during outpatient treatment.
- Residential stay is followed by an individualized schedule of outpatient treatment during day or evening hours.
- Length of treatment varies according to the length of the residential stay, but typically averages 4-6 weeks for combined residential and outpatient treatment. Outpatient Treatment: - Intensive, conveniently structured treatment program for those individuals who are able to abstain from use of alcohol and other drugs while involved in the treatment process.
- Treatment may be arranged during the day, evening, or a combination according to need. Aftercare and Relapse: - Provides support and stability for ongoing recovery of individuals who have completed primary treatment.
- Aftercare groups (both men's and women's) focus on issues such as coping skills, securing ongoing support, family and marital dynamics, work pressures, socializing, spirituality, relaxation, and stress management.
- May be recommended for those considered "high risk" for returning to alcohol or other drug use.
- Builds awareness of a person's personal relapse process.

- Connections and Referral Unit (CRU): Secure, detoxification program that provides short-term (up to 72 hours) help to adults and adolescents under the influence of alcohol or other substances. 22-bed facility offers clients an environment for detoxifying from alcohol and drug use. Following an intake process, clients receive medical services, addiction counseling and relapse prevention education. Clients are monitored for withdrawal symptoms and an assessment is completed, followed by recommendations and referrals to community programs.
- DWI Classes: Provides 8 hours of education on the effects of drinking and driving, along with tactics for improved decision making. Participants in this monthly program must be involved with traffic court or the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
- Substance Use Counseling: Provides a series of comprehensive 1:1 and group treatment options
- Substance Use Outpatient Treatment Programs: Designed to help individuals overcome their dependence on alcohol and/or other chemicals. Options include 1:1 sessions with a licensed counselor, group therapy and ongoing support.
- Walk-in Assessment: Offers chemical dependency assessments
