Community Crime Prevention - Minneapolis Police Department

- Bike Cops for Kids: Program designed to create goodwill and fight crime in targeted Minneapolis neighborhoods. Police on bicycles ride through neighborhoods and pass out bicycle helmets and bicycles to children. Children are selected randomly. NOTE: There is no way to sign children up or to contact the Minneapolis Police department to receive a free bicycle or helmet. - Block club organizing, neighborhood watch force - Crime Free Multi-Housing Program - Crime maps and advice on how to choose a place to live - Coordination for National Night Out - Home and business security demonstrations - Graffiti prevention and removal information. To report graffiti, call 311. For removal assistance for Minneapolis residents and businesses call the Graffiti Hotline - Personal safety workshops
