In Person Crisis Intervention
Individuals, community groups, and businesses can support victims of domestic violence by donating materials or volunteering. Available volunteer positions range from court advocacy to roles in maintenance, mentorship, office assistance, public speaking, reception and transportation support. All items should be new or gently used. Bedding and Household Items: - Standard size pillows - Twin blankets - Twin Bedding - Towels and wash cloths - Cooking utensils - Pots and pans - Cookie sheets - Toilet paper - Paper towels - Air mattresses Infants and Toddlers: - Baby teething rings, pacifiers, bottles, bibs - Diapers, sizes 4, 5, and 6 - Pull-ups - Disposable wipes - Baby bottles - Baby Monitors - Baby formula - Pedialyte - Clothes - Boys underwear - New Car Seats Children's enrichment center items: - Family board games - Card games (Uno, playing cards, memory, etc.) - Barbies, baby dolls, Infant toys, dump trucks - Art supplies (paints, brushes, colored pencils, glitter, stencils, markers) - Office paper, colored construction paper, butcher paper - Combined easel/chalkboard - School supplies Transitional clients moving out: - Hangers - Kitchen mat - Soap dispenser - Dishes - Cups/mugs - Silverware - Pots/pans - Coffee maker - Microwave - Toaster - Blender - Can Opener - Peeler - Cutting boards/cutting mats - Toilet paper - Toilet brush - Plunger - Towels - Shower curtain - Cleaning supplies, mops, brooms - Curtain rings - Curtain liner - Wastebasket - Personal care items Pet Supplies: - Dog collars - Dog and cat harnesses - Dog and cat food/treats - Dog and cat grooming combs/brushes - Litterbox liners - Cat litter Other Items: - Large bottles of shampoo, soap, face wash - Band aids - Hair products for women of color - Feminine hygiene products - Bus Tokens (Dial-A-Ride) - Gift cards for gas, retail stores, or groceries - Books (adult and child) - Paint By Number (for adults and children) - Ladies business attire - Ladies bathrobes - Household tool kits - Women's 1x pants, pajamas, hoodies - Women's tennis shoes & sandals size 8, 9, 10 - File-type organizers - Planners All cell phones are accepted, including cell phones without chargers or accessories, and broken cell phones. If a phone can't be converted, it is recycled. To donate, simply drop off or mail cell phones to the Mid-Minnesota Women's Center

- Animal control - Car seat installation assistance; call (651)792-7008 to set up an appointment - Donation site for used digital cell phones; cell phones will be reprogrammed to only work when dialing 9-1-1 and then given to a victims of domestic abuse, seniors or anyone in poor health who lives alone; drop the phones off at city hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive. Helps victims who have been impacted by domestic violence in Carver and Scott counties. Services provided: - 24-hour confidential crisis line to provide a safe place to call, receive support, and ask questions. Trained advocates are available 24 hours/7 days a week. Meetings at the office are also available by appointment. - Emotional support for the victim and their child(ren) - Help victims fleeing a domestic violence situation seek safe shelter - Information for support group, resources, school enrollment, and follow up services - Safety planning and safety equipment for the home - Partners with Carver Scott Humane Society to offer temporary fostering of pets for Southern Valley Alliance clients who are residents through their program, SafeFurSpaces, part of the Fur Keeps Program - Transitional Housing: Partners with Carver County Community Development Agency (CDA) and private property managers to connect clients to scattered site transitional housing units located throughout Carver and Scott counties. Housing is offered on a case-by-case basis, depending on funding and size availability of apartment units.

Provides support services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. The center also works with children who have witnessed abuse. Additional services include: - Advocacy and follow-up support - Court accompaniment - Crisis information - Education programs - Information and referral - Intake assessments for coordinated entry housing programs - Order for protection and harassment restraining - Order filling assistance - Reparations assistance - Safety planning - Support groups Also accepts donations of cell phones and inkjet cartridges. Cell phones are offered to individuals who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault so they may place emergency (911) phone calls. Other cell phones and inkjet cartridges are mailed to a company that recycles the phones and in turn, donates to Crisis Resource Center of Steele County.

Accepts donations of items listed below; donations should be dropped off at 414 West First Street, Duluth, MN 55802. Accepted Items: - Cell phones and chargers - Cleaning and sanitizing supplies - Diapers - Gently used winter coats, gloves, hats and boots - New and unopened full sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap and deodorant - New and unopened socks and underwear for women and children - New towels - Toilet Paper Not Accepted Items: - Children's toys - Clothing and/or household goods in poor conditions - Knives, scissors or other sharp items - Perfume and mouth wash - TVs, microwaves, computers, etc. - Used clothing - Used household items
