Professional Association - Minnesota Medical Association

The Minnesota Medical Association is a professional organization for licensed physicians, affiliated with the American Medical Association (AMA). Services for members include: - Active role in the AMA - Advocate for physicians on a wide range of advocacy topics, including scope of practice, contracting, medical malpractice, and public health and safety issues - Clearinghouse for physician referral sources and accreditation information - Group insurance programs - members only - Making sure all Minnesotans have access to high quality health care - Medical student loans - Program for disabled physicians - deals with chemical dependency and other problems experienced by physicians - Provides continuing education, seminars, and reports for member physicians - Public health education and materials ?- Represents physicians before regulatory agencies and works with third party payers to reduce administrative hassles and solve problems - Works with government agencies in an advisory capacity
