Program offers practical support, resources, and connection for widows navigating life after loss, including: - Memorial Gifts: Provides memorial gift boxes to newly widowed individuals. Each box includes a $50 gift card, a floating lantern with a Sharpie marker for writing a message, a handwritten card, lotion, a notebook, protein bars, and warm socks. A QR code is included for private access to online resources. - Resource Network: Offers a vetted directory of trusted service providers, including financial advisors and home service professionals. Many offer free or discounted support. Widows can register using their zip code to filter and access relevant local resources. Website content is tailored based on registration responses, offering targeted resources such as parenting support or solo living advice. ?- The Widow's Compass: Provides an interactive checklist to help manage post-loss tasks. The tool includes links, reminders, and tips designed to prevent costly errors and support informed decision-making. - TWC Connect: Offers opportunities for personal connection through one-on-one matches, small groups, and quarterly gatherings. Events may feature guest speakers and are designed to encourage community and peer support. - TWC Work Days: Provides seasonal volunteer assistance with yardwork three times per year. Spring and fall focus on cleanup; summer is dedicated to weeding. Volunteers may include students, widows, or community members offering practical help and support.

Licensed mental health professionals complete diagnostic assessments working to understand questions, concerns and worries as well as each child's strengths, challenges, and history. Washburn provides counseling, therapy and support for families available at all of their sites. This includes help with with common concerns such as: - Abuse and parent-child conflicts - Attention problems and acting-out behaviors - Depression and anxiety - Difficulty dealing with loss or family changes - School adjustment problems Quick Access Program: Provided in partnership with Medica. Supports children experiencing mild mental health challenges or situational life stressors. Provides a brief mental health assessment and access to clinical care for kids ages 5 - 17 who can benefit from short-term therapy intervention (up to 6 sessions). Aims to reduce the amount of wait time it takes for children and families to receive help with mild mental health challenges or situational life stressors. Available to families enrolled with Medica insurance. Services are not for children or families who have long-standing mental health concerns, a history of past mental health treatment and multiple diagnosis, or safety concerns.

Grief Support - Bri's Lodge

Services include: - Companioning: Grief companions provide a space for individuals to share their feelings in response to their profound loss. Companioning is anchored in respecting and exploring the uniqueness of loss while allowing individuals to share their grief and how it impacts them. - Events: Angel of Hope Candlelit Vigils, Annual Garage Sale, Evening of Hope, Horses Healing Hearts, and Kruzin for Bri's Lodge. - General Loss Support Groups: Offers a safe place for people to share their journey after the loss of their loved one. All groups will provide an experience where feelings, worries, problems, and joys can be expressed and received freely without judgment. This group is open to anyone with a loss of someone. ?- Grief retreats: Provides a place where individuals and families can come together to find peace and solace, a place where they can connect with others who are grieving a similar loss. For different types of loss such as: - Loss by Suicide - Older Child Loss - Perinatal Loss - Miscarriage and stillbirth - Sibling Loss - Adult - Spousal Loss - For older and younger - Younger Child Loss Horses Healing Hearts: In collaboration with Angel Reins Stable, this program happens once a month. Provides a grief equine assisted activities program where grieving individuals can go for hope and healing. Individuals will be able to go to the stables at Angels Reins to connect with the horses. Whether that is through petting them, brushing them or just being in their presence. People of all ages are eligible to register.
