Staff may assist with information for housing options and emergency shelter resources. Staff do not provide homeless motel vouchers. Other services provided: ?- Emergency Shelter: Offers information and emergency shelter resources to adults without minor children. Call during office hours for a referral request to the Emergency Housing Services Building facility. Shelter is available based on capacity.
  • Housing Hub:
  • ?Connects single adults ages 18 and over and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless with a Housing Specialist to provide housing problem solving. Housing Specialists can assist households with practical solutions, identify sources, alternatives, resolve immediate barriers to housing, and mediate conflict resolution between landlords, friends, or family.
  • The initial access point to be connected with a Housing Specialist is short-term with a 30-day timeframe. After 30 days initial contact, households with no other pathways identified will be connected to a Housing Assessor and placed on the Housing Registry.
  • Street Outreach: Provides support to individuals who are experiencing homelessness and living outside
NOTE: People seeking temporary care for their pets must already be enrolled in a housing support program through Washington County's Homeless Outreach Services Team to see if their pet can be sheltered by referral.

  • Make transportation arrangements that promote stability including school of origin if feasible
  • Gather school records from other locations
  • Distribute school supplies and make referrals to agencies that meet basic needs
  • Increase awareness and support in the community regarding conditions of homelessness
  • Be an advocate within the school system as well as in the community helping assure homeless students are respected and addressed
