Child Protective Services accepts, responds to, and/or investigates reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Services may include the following: assessment of the initial referral, consultation with the family to determine the nature of the problem, temporary placement of children who are removed from the home, working with the family toward unification or reunification, and ongoing support services for children and their families with referrals to appropriate resources in the community. Reports are confidential (the identity of the person making the report is not given out). Reporters are asked to provide as much specific information regarding the suspected abuse or neglect as possible including location of the abuse/neglect, when the abuse occurred, and the identity of the person(s) suspected of abusing or neglecting the child(ren).

Direct Access allows an individual to go directly to a provider they choose to receive a comprehensive assessment and access care immediately. The county will assess individuals who need help paying for a chemical use assessment or treatment services through the Behavioral Health Fund. ?Also, provides referrals to local community service providers for chemical assessments or treatment services.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a nutrition program that assists pregnant individuals, new mothers, infants, and young children to eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Many working and low-income families are eligible for WIC's benefits. The WIC Program provides:

• Breastfeeding advice and support

• Nutrition assessment and feeding tips

• Referrals to health and social services

• Vouchers for healthy foods (for example, milk, fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs)

Village of Hope provides safe, secure emergency housing for families 24 hours/day ~ 7 days a week. We are open 365 days a year. The environment that a family experiencing homeless comes into is very important. We work to create a calm, safe environment in which families can build a future. Families can stay with us for 90 days, as long as they are actively looking for housing. Each family has their own apartment. This preserves the family unit and provides privacy.

Provides a Christian, pro-life counseling organization that offers a suicide and crisis hotline, pregnancy counseling, general emotional support, and assistance for individuals struggling with sex addiction.

Patients interested in knowing the cost of care, estimates of procedures, are interested in applying for financial assistance to help pay for procedures, or have questions about a bill, can contact the billing and financial department. Program options include:

• Financial Assistance: Based on income, resources, and ability to pay for those uninsured, underinsured, or whose insurance coverage status is not known

• Payment Plans: Offers flexible payment options to help patients manage out-of-pocket expenses, regardless of insurance status. Monthly payment plans are interest-free and payments must be 4% of the patient's total balance.

Provides a ReUse Warehouse Store available to the public with new, used, or salvaged building materials at a fee. Building materials typically available include flooring, tiles, lumber, cabinetry, appliance, lighting, tubs, and more for individuals who are interested in purchasing materials at a lower cost. Offers an appliance recycling program for a fee. Donations are accepted at the warehouse and at various drop-off centers in Hennepin County.
