Provides the Small Cities Development Program through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development agency. The program is a grant available to residents to make basic home repairs and necessary improvements such as accessibility, code compliance repairs, and energy efficiency.The grant may help with replacing or repairing services such as:- Defective plumbing, heating, electrical systems- Ramps and bathroom accessibility conversions- Roofing, windows, doors, and wall repairs

ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Provides an Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) program which integrates mental health, medical, and substance use care in a 24-hour, supervised setting. Provides a high level of treatment and assistance in a structured environment.The Huss House is a 16-bed residence inpatient program for gender-identifying men, located in South Minneapolis. For individuals experiencing a mental illness and/or having co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnosis. The program includes:- 24-hour on-site staff and assistance in a residential setting- Assessment of immediate needs and factors that lead to the crisis- Individualized treatment to address immediate needs and restore the individual to a pre-crisis level of functioning- Individual and group therapy- Living skills/foundational wellness development, including exercise, and nutrition- Medication management

Accepts and responds to and/or investigates reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Services may include:- Accepting reports of abuse- Assessment of the initial referral- Consultation to individuals who suspect abuse- Consultation with the family to determine the nature of the problem- Dependency investigation- Explanation of reporting statutes and answer questions regarding agency practices- Ongoing support services for children and their families- Temporary placement of children who are removed from the home- Works with the family toward reunification

Most EAPs allow 3-5 sessions for brief counseling, consultation, and referral services.- Evaluation: Diagnostic clarification, determination of personality issues, intellectual status, and learning styles or disabilities- Psychiatry: Assessment and medication monitoring- Relationship counseling: For couples- Therapy: For individuals and families

Provides early Head Start and Head Start programs. Services provided:- A comprehensive child and family development program for pregnant women and families with children from birth to age 3. Services include weekly home visits by an Early Head Start educator, year-round toddler classrooms in some locations, and access to health, nutrition, and family support services. Families also participate in bi-weekly socialization events that provide opportunities for networking and peer support. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved through volunteering and participation in the Head Start Policy Council.- Provides early learning and care to help young children reach their full potential. Enrolled children receive meals and snacks, along with support for medical, dental, and nutrition services. Offers center-based classes four days per week in a licensed classroom setting, operating September through May.

Transportation coordinators are able to work directly with case managers, clients, and vendors to support the freedom of transportation through bus, specialty transportation, taxi, and Lyft ride-sharing.

Provides environmental health services to protect public health and safety. Services include:- Environmental health licensing and inspections- Enforcement of environmental health regulations- Investigation of environmental health complaints- Lead testing and inspections- Private well water testing for contaminants and water quality concerns- Radon testing and education
