Provides cash assistance to help adults receiving Supplemental Security Income - SSI pay for their basic needs. Adults who are blind, have a disability, or are age 65 and older but don't qualify for SSI because of their income may still be eligible for MSA if they meet income requirements.The basic monthly MSA grant is calculated using either the maximum SSI amount (Federal Benefit Rate) for the adult or their countable income (if they do not receive SSI), and the MSA standard set by state law.Special Needs GrantMSA also may provide special payments for adults who need:- Certain home repairs- Certain household furniture and appliances- Guardian or conservator service fees- Helping pay for housing costs through MSA Housing Assistance- Medically prescribed special diets- Representative payee servicesAdults who receive MSA are also eligible for help with medical, food, and housing costs through Medical Assistance - MA, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP, and MSA Housing Assistance programs.

The program is a voluntary, early intervention program that focuses on a family's strengths and needs through support systems. Once enrolled in the Parent Support Outreach Program, help is provided to at-risk families to avoid future incidents of child maltreatment and to enhance child and family well-being, including:- Comprehensive assessments, early intervention, in-home parenting education, outreach, and supportive and therapeutic services- Connect families with county and community-based services- Family circle meetings and support- Limited financial assistance for families to meet basic needs

A chemical use assessment is required to access public funding for chemical dependency treatment. Its purpose is to determine whether an individual may have a drinking or drug problem. The assessment includes an interview with a licensed assessor to review substance use and its impact on daily life and relationships, and to determine whether treatment is needed and, if so, which type of treatment would be most beneficial.

MN Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program: Helps low-income homeowners make their homes safer, more livable, accessible, and energy efficient. Eligible improvements include plumbing, electrical wiring, roofing, heating, accessibility modifications, and any repair needed to meet code requirements. Loans are deferred, with a lien on the property, and are forgivable after 15 years if the home remains the owners primary residence.Includes mobile homes in a mobile home park, with a 10-year term.MN Housing Accessibility/Emergency Loan Program: Assists homeowners with urgent repairs and essential accessibility improvements to their home. Guidelines and terms for this loan program are the same as for Rehab Loan Program.
