Provides vouchers for hotel/motel short stays for people in an emergency situation. The situation must be solvable within one or two nights (This means that vouchers are not an option for individuals who have no viable plan to acquire immediate housing. These individuals will instead be referred to the Warming Center in Winona or may be offered transportation to shelters in La Crosse or Rochester.) Applicants must demonstrate that an emergency exists and must demonstrate that staying in a motel will resolve the emergency need. Law Enforcement has the ability to issue lodging vouchers after-hours and on weekends.

Provides nutrition education and special foods which promote good health for pregnant, breastfeeding, and post-partum women with infants and/or children up to age 5.WIC provides the following services:- Assistance with any special needs- Health assessment and screening- Nutrition education- Referral to other community servicesVouchers are given to participants to purchase nutritious foods such as cereal, cheese, eggs, infant formula, fruits and vegetables, milk, and peanut butter.

The Taxpayer Advocate Service is an independent organization within the IRS with the goal of ensuring that every taxpayer is treated fairly. This service can help if individuals can't resolve their problem with the IRS and:- The problem is causing financial difficulties for you, your family, or your business.- The individual (or their business) is facing an immediate threat of adverse action.- The individual has tried repeatedly to contact the IRS but no one has responded, or the IRS hasn't responded by the date promised.

A co-ed 16-bed secure detoxification facility that provides services to individuals who are intoxicated or in withdrawal from alcohol or other substances and cannot immediately care for themselves. Patients are accepted both voluntarily and involuntarily.

Parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Programming and education services often include parents/caregivers and children but may just include parents/caregivers.Services may include:- Book lending library- Early childhood screening- Parent-child activities?- Parent discussion groups?- Play and learn activities for children- School readiness program for children ages 4 - 5 years

Hennepin County residents who are experiencing homelessness can receive housing case management assistance through the Homeless to Housing program. The primary focus of the Homeless to Housing team is to fill system gaps by offering case management to people who otherwise lack support and access to resources by helping them secure permanent housing.The Homeless to Housing teams can help single adults, families, youth, and veterans who are staying in shelter or those living unsheltered with the following:1. Referral2. Intake3. Goal planning4. Barrier busting5. Housing identification and move in6. Stabilization and referral to long-term support

Pays for room and board for seniors and adults with disabilities who have low incomes. Aims to reduce and prevent people from living in institutions or becoming homeless.All recipients receive assistance each month to help pay for rent and food. Some recipients also receive Housing Support supplemental funding to provide other services if they don't qualify for home and community-based waiver programs, including but not limited to:- Arranging for medical and social services- Arranging for meetings and appointments- Assistance with transportation- Medication remindersThe individual's housing provider receives payments to pay for rent, utilities, food, household supplies, and other necessities.

The financial assistance program is funded through the Ben and Adith Miller Patient Care Fund and through internal Winona Health resources.Offers financial services, including speaking with a financial counselor, cost of care estimates, or assistance determining if an individual qualifies for financial assistance. Financial counselors can help individuals understand patients' responsibilities and may offer no interest payment plans. Other options may include free or reduced cost care.
