Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. Emergency assistance provides short-term, one-time assistance for households in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut-off, eviction, foreclosure, or other emergency need.

Financial counselors can help individuals understand patients' responsibilities and may offer no-interest payment plans. Other options may include:
  • AblePay: Program allows patients to save up to 13% on deductibles, coinsurance, and copays at no cost to the patient
  • Extended Payment Plan through ClearBalance: Provides an affordable patient financing program with flexible repayment terms to help consumers pay out-of-pocket hospital expenses, including deductibles and insurance co-payments
  • Financial Assistance Program: Provides financial assistance (charity care) to low-income, uninsured, or underinsured individuals who need help paying for all or part of their medical care. Patients are eligible when their family income is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) income guidelines. Patients must apply for financial assistance within 240 days after the date of their first post-services billing statement. Applicants are notified of financial assistance eligibility in writing within 30 days of receipt of the application.

Matches children who have a need for an additional supportive relationship with screened adult individuals, couples, or families. Once a match has been made, volunteers spend approximately one to four hours per week with the child for fun and enriching activities like going to the park, attending sporting events, sharing hobbies, baking cookies, or going to community events and cultural fairs. Volunteers make a one year commitment to the program. Provides quarterly group activities as well as passes to sporting events, local museums, and community attractions for mentor/child matches. Screening, training, and on-going support provided to all volunteers and youth. Volunteers make a one-year commitment to the child they are matched with though the average match length is three years and many relationships grow into life-long friendships.

An activity-based mentoring program that matches at-promise youth with volunteer adult mentors who participate together in goal-centered, one-on-one relationships.
  • Youth are matched with their mentors for one year and meet weekly for 2 - 4 hours. Throughout the one-year program, the mentors and youth develop goals (one physical activity, and one academic), have new experiences, and attend a variety of events with other mentors and mentees of the program.
  • Youth and their mentors attend agency events based on four programming pillars: Healthy Living, Lifelong Learning, Emotional Development, and Community Connectivity.
  • Youth and their families receive case management/support, and referrals for services. Mentors also have a network of support throughout their year of volunteering.
