The Child Support Division assists with:- Locating parents.- Establishing parentage.- Establishing and enforcing court orders for child support, medical support, and child care support.- Reviewing and modifying court orders for support.- Adjusting court orders based on the cost-of-living index.- Works with other states to enforce support when one parent does not live in Minnesota.- Collecting and processing payments. Participants pay for Medicare services that aren't covered, such as routine physicals and prescription drugs.Generally under these programs, premiums are put back into the monthly Social Security check, increasing participants' monthly income.

Provides extra support to help stretch a household's food budget - it is not meant to cover all the groceries a family needs.Monthly benefits are loaded on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which looks and works like a debit card. Many organizations, including technical and community colleges, community-based organizations, county agencies, tribes, and CareerForce Centers provide SNAP E&T programs and services. Programs can include career planning, job search, training for in-demand jobs, student support, financial support, and continued support once a participant has a job.

Provides law enforcement and community services.

Offers supportive care to residents who need help with daily living activities.Services include:- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)- Appointment planning and transportation for medical, dental, and mental health visits- Laundry and housekeeping services- Meals and snacks are provided daily- Medication management and supervision- Oversight by a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Provides investigation and intervention services on behalf of vulnerable adults who are unable to act on their own behalf, manage their own affairs, or are in immediate danger of abuse. Types of abuse may be physical, emotional, sexual abuse, unsafe or hazardous living conditions, exploitation, neglect, or abandonment. Services include:- Taking reports and investigating abuse and/or maltreatment- Removal of the individual to safer surroundings- Services necessary to remove the conditions that have created a threat to lifeNOTE: Complaints, questions, or concerns involving incidents in facilities licensed by the Health Department, such as hospitals, nursing homes, boarding care homes, supervised living facilities, assisted living, and home health agencies, can be referred to the Minnesota Board on Aging Ombudsman for Long-Term Care.

Minnesota's Medicaid program for people with low income. Most people who have MA receive health care through health plans. Members who do not receive health care through a health plan receive care on a fee-for-service basis, with providers billing the state directly for services they provide.MA pays for a variety of services like doctor visits, prescriptions, and hospital stays. Some services and prescriptions may require prior approval. MA pays for medical bills going back three months from the month the application is received.NOTE: People with disabilities who work, even if they're over the income or asset limits of MA, may still qualify for a program called Medical Assistance for Employed Persons with Disabilities - MA-EPD.

Offers person-centered support services to individuals living with a disability or mental health condition. Services provided:- Case management to assess gaps in services to develop a goal plan to resolve the individual's housing crisis and prevent them from becoming homeless- Develop life skills including self-sufficiency planning, establish independence, and housing skills- Help individuals secure and maintain stable housing. Services include house searching, application assistance, budgeting, landlord communication, and ongoing stability planning.- Meeting with staff for information about housing resources for rapid re-housing, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and eligibility. Provides referrals and resources to programs as needed.

Provides classes for adult learners such as:- Adult basic education- Computers and citizenship- English as a second language- GED instruction and K-12 diploma program- Literary assistance, credit recovery, skills development, and career readiness?

Specialized emergency shelter, supportive housing, and mental health services to youth who are commercially sexually exploited, trafficked, or at high risk of sexual exploitation.DHS-licensed housing programs for eligible youth include emergency shelter (The Loft) and group residential housing (Sol House)Mental health support services:- Trauma-informed therapy- Substance abuse recovery support- Peer support groups

People with disabilities are given the opportunity to learn drawing, painting, and printmaking techniques.

Provides legal representation and advice to older adults. Handles cases such as:- Abusive debt collection practices- Issues with government benefits such as Medical Assistance (MA) or Social Security SSI programs- Elder Abuse- Housing issues such as eviction or reasonable accommodations of disabilities- Nursing home issues (payment, conditions, and discharge)- Utility shut-off assistance

Responsible for county election administration, financial records, and tax collection and information

Facilitates human-canine bond to enhance the lives of others through the process of training assistance dogs. Primarily focuses on training service dogs for people with physical mobility disabilities. Also trains dogs as Diabetic Alert dogs, Home Help-mate dogs, and Facility/Animal Assisted Therapy dogs on a case-by-case basis.

Connects and provides older adults and their caregivers with services in their community to allow them to live long, healthy, and independent lives in their own homes. Services include:- Food Assistance: Congregate dining locations offering low-cost meals, low-cost frozen meals, home-delivered meals, NAPS, and SNAP- Healthy Living: Blood pressure checks, fall prevention screenings, telehealth conferences, Tai Chi and yoga sessions, and stretching/balance education- Information Services: Offers memory loss education and Dementia Friends, Medicare counseling and assistance, fraud/scam identification and prevention, assistance with internet search, assistance with Healthcare Directives and Power of Attorney forms, and classes to older adults- Mobile Community Center: Brings services and socialization to the door or community. The vehicle is equipped with high-speed internet, flat-screen TV, applications for programs, and meeting space for coffee and conversation.- Social: Offers card parties, coffee and conversation time, caregiver respite, karaoke parties, video calls and chats with friends, and social media assistance

Providing the following services: - Intensive in-home treatment program designed for families where there is a risk for out-of-home placement for at least one child in the home. - The Family Resource Program works with families to provide life management and parenting skills.
