All reports of maltreatment of a vulnerable adult should be directed to the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center. Reports will then be forwarded to the proper investigative agency.Provides assistance, investigates, and/or intervenes on behalf of vulnerable adults who are unable to act on their own behalf, manage their own affairs, or who are in immediate danger due to physical or emotional abuse, unsafe or hazardous living conditions, exploitation, neglect, or abandonment. The Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) is Minnesota's version of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). MFIP helps families with children meet their basic needs, while helping parents move to financial stability through work. The program provides a monthly cash payment to help supplement a family's income as they move from public assistance to employment. Participants must meet program requirements, or their benefits will be reduced. Lifetime benefits are limited to 60 months.When families first apply for cash assistance, they will start in the Diversionary Work Program (DWP). It is a four-month program that helps parents go to work right away rather than enroll in MFIP.

The assessment helps determine public programs that might pay for an individual's long-term services and supports or helps them learn about other options if they don't qualify for publicly funded programs. Employment programs with the goal of getting individuals started on a career path that will be sustainable for themselves and/or their families in order to increase their overall well-being.Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP): Employment and supportive services for low-income families transitioning off of public assistance or to avoid dependence on welfare benefits. Comprehensive job placement program which helps public assistance recipients in Benton, Dakota, Hennepin, and Stearns counties obtain the services they need to become self-supporting. Avivo offers a program to young parents, ages 18 - 26, to overcome barriers to employment and provide intensive case management and weekly job search groups.

Provides case management services for any adult, child or family member who is experiencing mental health problems. The services may include crisis support or referrals for hospitalization, if necessary.
