Minnesota's version of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). Statewide MFIP helps families work their way out of poverty by providing temporary cash and food benefits to eligible families. Statewide MFIP has a 60-month limit, there are some limited exceptions and extensions to the time limit. Participants are required to follow certain work rules. Failure to meet work rules will result in their MFIP grants being sanctioned or reduced. In addition:

• Child support will be pursued in those situations where one or both parents are absent

• A woman expecting a baby may receive assistance for herself during her pregnancy

• Children who are being cared for by certain relatives may receive assistance

NOTE: MFIP recipients may be eligible for Emergency Assistance, Child Care Assistance, Medical Assistance, and/or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Assisted living for adults ages 62 and older who no longer want to live on their own but aren't in need of 24 hours/7 days a week skilled nursing care. Services and amenities include:

• 30 private unfurnished apartments, including 29 1-bedroom and 1 2-bedroom apartment

• 3 meals a day available for an additional cost

• Assisted living services as needed, including bathing, grooming, and dressing

• Bed-making services

• Emergency response pendants to call for help 24 hours/7 days a week

• Full housekeeping and laundry

• Medication set-ups, reminders and administration

• On duty care staff 24 hours/7 days a week

• Pet friendly apartments upon approval

• Physician who makes "house calls" by request

• Registered nurse (RN) on duty 5 days a week and on call 24 hours/7 days a week

• Resident-controlled heat and air conditioning in every apartment

• Stove and fridge in each apartment

• Wander Guard System: Bracelet that lets staff know when residents are by a door

• Volunteer opportunities available including calling bingo, running errands, nail care, hair care or visiting with residents.

Volunteer drivers provide transportation to dental and medical appointments for Blue Plus, Medica, Medical Assistance, South Country, and UCare clients Seniors may also use this service to access medical, dental or personal appointments, and congregate dining

Handles a variety of citations ranging from petty misdemeanor offenses which include minor parking and traffic violations to misdemeanor offenses including driving while intoxicated, theft, and worthless check violations.

Offers a 4 - 12 week training program in Automotive Services, Construction, Business Professional Pathways, Financial Industry, Clean Energy/Solar, and YouthBuild. Classes are available at no cost to eligible students and include career coaching and job placement assistance. Individuals must attend an information session, where staff review eligibility requirements and assist with the application process.

Provides outpatient services tailored to individual's experiencing problematic sexual behavior. Services are client-centered, integrating multiple modalities, and evidence-based practices to find unique solutions to meet the individual's needs. Services offered:

• Clinical Interview and Diagnostic Assessments: An assessment includes a review of mental health history, current symptoms, and functional needs. The interview identifies strengths, supports, and resources with a written report summarizing the client's mental health status, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations. A development of treatment goals will be based on assessment and collaboration with the client.

• Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): A structured short-term stabilization service tailored to address the unique challenges faced by clients who have exhibited sexually harmful behaviors. The program integrates stability factors and therapeutic interventions of 16 hours of therapy throughout the weekday.

• Other Outpatient Services: Offers psychoeducational courses designed for those who do not need an in-depth sexual offending treatment but need information and education about sexuality, appropriate boundaries, and responsible sexual behavior. Also, offers an Insight Course: Prostitution Intervention program for men who buy sex focusing on assessment, self-awareness, attitude, and behavior change.

• Support Groups: Offers focused support groups in key areas such as Compulsive Sexual Behavior DBT/Emotion Management, and Cognitive Skills. Each group provides a safe, confidential space to explore challenges, learn effective coping strategies, and connect with others facing similar experiences.

• Teletherapy: Offers virtual therapy sessions

• Transitional Aftercare Program (TAP): A maintenance and continuum of care for clients released from prison to participate in treatment while in prison or civil commitment. The program is designed to aid in the preparation of a well-organized and healthy transition into the community.

• Treatment Programs: Offers several programs for adolescents and adults through the Ignite, Emerge, Journey, Trek, Aware, and Voyage programs once an initial diagnostic assessment has been completed. The programs work with adolescents and adults who are at risk of committing a harmful sexual act or have committed an illegal sexual offense. The treatment models are designed to manage risk for future harmful behaviors, working closely with probation agents, identify abuse and appropriate boundaries, take responsibility for their behavior, maintain healthy and supportive family/peer relationships, manage and reject abusive thoughts/feelings, and seeking support when needed. Some programs may comprise of education, individual therapy, and group sessions.

• Treatment plan may involve case management, client care coordination, and referrals to community service providers as needed and where appropriate

Pays for room and board for seniors and adults with disabilities who have low incomes. Aims to reduce and prevent people from living in institutions or becoming homeless. All recipients receive assistance each month to help pay for rent and food. Some recipients also receive Housing Support supplemental funding to provide other services if they don't qualify for home and community-based waiver programs, including but not limited to:

• Arranging for medical and social services

• Arranging for meetings and appointments

• Assistance with transportation

• Medication reminders

The individual's housing provider receives payments to pay for rent, utilities, food, household supplies, and other necessities.

A formal program providing employment and training services to workers laid off from their jobs due to no fault of their own. These and other services are available at no cost to program participants who meet eligibility requirements. A variety of services are available including: career planning and personal counseling for career decision making, developing job goals and personal planning, training and retraining resources to update skills or acquire skills in a new field, job-seeking skills workshops on preparing resumes and cover letters, learning and practicing interviewing skills and networking, job clubs to meet other job seekers to network, check current job openings, and discuss issues. Placement services are also available including leads developed by counselors and agencies. Support services in certain cases are available for expenses such as child care and transportation, to enable participants to achieve their employment or training goals.
