Direct Access allows an individual to go directly to a provider they choose to receive a comprehensive assessment and access care immediately. The county will assess individuals who need help paying for a chemical use assessment or treatment services through the Behavioral Health Fund. Services also include:- Designated staff that provide chemical dependency assessments- Referral to local community service providers for chemical assessments or treatment services. Pays for room and board for seniors and adults with disabilities who have low incomes. Aims to reduce and prevent people from living in institutions or becoming homeless.All recipients receive assistance each month to help pay for rent and food. Some recipients also receive Housing Support supplemental funding to provide other services if they don't qualify for home and community-based waiver programs, including but not limited to:- Arranging for medical and social services- Arranging for meetings and appointments- Assistance with transportation- Medication remindersThe individual's housing provider receives payments to pay for rent, utilities, food, household supplies, and other necessities.

This is a monthly drive-up food pantry that provides non-perishable food, fresh produce, dairy, frozen food/meat, paper goods and other personal care items. This offers the option to drive up for a box of food or to come inside to do your own shopping for items.

24-Hour Residential Services. Provides 24-hour supervision, support, and independent living skills training to people sharing a home (three or four individuals per home) in the community.Services are designed to meet the needs and desires of the people living there, including special health care and complex medical (e.g. ventilator) needs. These sites are licensed as Adult Foster Care.

Adults who are blind, have a disability, or are age 65 and older but don't qualify for SSI because of their income may still be eligible for MSA if they meet income requirements.The basic monthly MSA grant is calculated using either the maximum SSI amount (Federal Benefit Rate) for the adult or their countable income (if they do not receive SSI), and the MSA standard set by state law.Special Needs GrantMSA also may provide special payments for adults who need:- Certain home repairs- Certain household furniture and appliances- Guardian or conservator service fees- Helping pay for housing costs through MSA Housing Assistance- Medically prescribed special diets- Representative payee servicesAdults who receive MSA are also eligible for help with medical, food, and housing costs through Medical Assistance - MA, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP, and MSA Housing Assistance programs.

Cash-grant program for adults with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Adults can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.Short-term, one-time grant assistance for persons in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut-off, eviction, foreclosure, moving expense, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair.

Home Visiting Program- Home visits are offered to pregnant women, infants, and children to provide ongoing support.Maternal Child Health Services- All Becker County families with a newborn are contacted by a Community Health Nurse. A home visit will be offered to provide new parents with information on feeding choices, newborn cares and additional support.Parental, Childbirth, and Newborn Education- Educational support is offered to all residents of Becker County. Material presented is tailored to meet the specific needs including labor and delivery, breastfeeding, bottle feeding and newborn/postpartum care.Breastfeeding Resources- Becker County WIC office sponsors a Breastfeeding Support Group that meets monthly. Online Breastfeeding Support Group.Car Seat Program- Medica and Blue Plus have a car seat program for children up to 8 years of age. Education and installation of the car seat are offered to any resident of Becker County.Immunizations- Infant, child and adult immunizations can be done at Becker County Community Health by appointment.Follow Along Program- Consists of a series of developmental questionnaires the parent completes and returns to Becker County Community Health. The questionnaire is scored and a letter is sent to the parent with the results. This program is free to all children in Becker County under the age of 36 months.

Services use evidence-informed approaches to support recovery goals and individualized treatment planning.- Substance Use Disorder Assessments and Chemical Health Assessments: Provides assessments that are comprehensive evaluations used to determine appropriate levels of care and treatment recommendations. Assessments are provided for personal treatment planning as well as for legal, custody, and court related requirements. All assessments meet Minnesota standards and align with national guidelines.
