WCCA operates the only Wright County-wide food shelf in Waverly, Minnesota. The Food Shelf provides a 4-day supply of food to Wright County families in need, who are unable to access a food shelf in their own community. With a focus on older adults, WCCA works with a limited number of senior living communities to deliver food shelf resources directly to clients' residences. Deliveries are currently provided to residents of Delano Commons, Maple Manor, and Rosehaven Apartments only. In addition to the food shelf program, WCCA provides emergency food boxes to help individuals in need throughout Wright County. Locations of where food boxes can be picked up can be found here.
Assistance Vouchers: provides vouchers for clothing, household items, and furniture on a case by case basis and when available Brown Bag Food: distribution offered monthly for senior citizens 65+ only Case Management: for families who request budget counseling, personal counseling and other long-term professional services. Food Shelf: Walk-in, First come, First Serve, Limited to the first 60 participants a day. Anyone after 60 can receive a bag of food. Youth Food Shelf Seasonal Services: HeatShare, and emergency disaster services Food support application assistance (SNAP) Community Center: Provides a variety of programs to meet physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs including group daily program, summer day camping, senior citizen programs, congregate dining through RAP, athletics, arts and crafts, music and drama, preschool programs, sports, gymnasium, weight training, after school programs, etc.

- Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP): Provides low-income adults ages 60 and older with additional food and nutrition education. Items are selected by participants each month. - Food Shelf Market: Can be utilized once each month. Individuals receive a 7-to-10-day supply of food including fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, bread, shelf-stable, pet food, hygiene, and more. Choices can not be guaranteed due to limited quantity of items. - Outreach Grocery Delivery: Provides homebound individuals with food such as non-perishables, meat, dairy, produce, bakery, hygiene, and pet items. Volunteers take orders and deliver food once per month. - Summer Food for Kids: During the regular food shopping appointment, households with school-age children have the option to choose additional 'kid-friendly' food - Weekly Program: Additional food services available for those who are experiencing homelessness. Other special events such as produce distributions and additional shopping opportunities on select Fridays. - Personal care items and food donations are accepted

Provides a daily drop-in and resource center serving those experiencing homelessness and those at-risk of homelessness. Provides access to basic needs such as: ?- Clothing - Food (shelf stable foods) - Hygiene supplies - Phone and computer access - Referrals to organizations such as Southern Minnesota Legal Services (SMRLS), state and county housing programs, and Coordinated Entry assessments - Respite room and lounge space - Tents

Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) is the program designed to enhance monthly groceries and include healthy and nutritious food products each month at no cost to eligible individuals over the age of 60. NAPS participants receive a monthly food package containing the following items: - Canned fruits (in water or juice) - Vegetables (low sodium or no salt added) - Nonfat dry and shelf stable low-fat milk, dry milk, and locally made American cheese - Canned meat, chicken or fish and peanut butter or dry beans - Cereal, rice and bottled juice
Provides hungry students a child-friendly bag of supplemental food through the participating school to take home over the weekend. Also hosts a free food distribution event in Douglas or Pope County. Anyone who faces food insecurity and registers in advance is welcome to utilize these programs.
Packing for the Weekend provides a backpack of food for children and their families over the weekend when they may not have access to school breakfasts and lunches, which for some is the only food they can rely on. Backpacks are packed to include a breakfast, lunch, and dinner item as well as a snack and fruit.
Provides hot congregate meals on a regular basis for elderly or disabled adults who may be at risk for nutritional deficits without assistance and who can profit from opportunities to socialize with others: - Special foods for individuals on diabetic, low-salt, and low-fat diets - Choice of scheduled meal or chef salad

Financial assistance for rent payments and other special needs. Note: limited funding is available for all three counties and only available on a case by case basis; call for details. Reason to Smile: Low-cost dental services available to Dakota County residents Food shelf and clothing closet usage is limited to once a month. Clients shop from current inventory. Food distribution usage is limited to twice a month. Clients receive pre-selected food, usually, produce, but it may also include other items if available. In partnership with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Seasonal programs include Toy Shop; Family, Teen, and Kids Camps; Back to School Project; and Coats for Kids.

Resource rooms provide services such as: - Accepting donations of undergarments, socks, snow boots, sweatpants, t-shirts, winter gear, gift cards from Target, Walmart, Cub Foods, and gas cards - Computers for families to access the internet, apply for employment, and resume writing - Limited supplies of clothing, personal household items, and food for immediate student and family access - Limited school supplies for students - Referrals to community resources such as housing, food shelves, energy assistance, legal resources, tax preparation, health, medical insurance applications, and volunteer opportunities
