Air Transportation for Wounded Warriors - Veterans Airlift Command - VAC

Provides air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. Passengers are transported to and from the medical facility for the benefit of the service member, not the passengers. Passenger eligibility requires the service member to be undergoing continuing medical care, either hospitalized or as an outpatient. Passengers must be family or a very close personal friend of the service member.
